Again I just knew Carly was getting the clam chowder and the clam chowder connoisseur says it's not world famous to her! Like y'all I can appreciate her in depth and honest review and I agree if it lacks potatoes then that would be a bummer I think an equal amount of meat and potatoes would be better but it still looked delicious and I'd give it a try if it were offered to me! Also your shrimp looked good but I'd have to have more than that to fill me up at least 10 pieces lol and the fried oysters looked good, never had em but I'd give em a try! Y'all rock Funseekers and thanks for sharing as always!
You know Carly is all about some clam chowder. She definitely didn't think it was the best in the world. David did really like it. The shrimp was delicious but the portion size was small. Places will give you larger portions of fries to cover of the entre size. That is why I made sure to count the shrimp for the viewers. Same thing for David's oysters. But we did enjoy the taste of the food. Thanks for watching and commenting.
The girl definitely knows her clam chowder. We call her the clam chowder connoisseur. Carly will let you know what she thinks about it. lol Thanks so much for watching!
As a lifelong resident of Massachusetts, I agree with Carly. Any seafood restaurant can fry a shrimp or clam but chowder is an art form. If you ever get up here you have to take her to the Clambox in Ipswich, MA for chowder that can’t be beat
Excellent review. Proves my point on almost any place that finds itself claiming to be "(Whatever) best". Not only is it usually not the "best", but tacks on a "premium" for the term. Either in price or quantity. Sometimes both. As is apparently the case here. TNX for being so value-focused. Reminds me of a quote by Henry Royce that I had hanging in a frame on my office wall. "The Quality Is Remembered Long After The Price Is Forgotten". With a restaurant meal, the quantity of the portions served is an integral part of the quality. God Bless!
Thanks John! We try to be honest with our reviews. As expensive as everything is these days it is so important to be aware of the value. I think we owe it to our subscribers to mention the portion size. The food was good and it's up to the viewer to decide if it is a good deal for them. Thanks so much for watching!
Looks good but think I going to pass on this one. I think it's more of a tourist trap than a hidden gem. Love Carly's soup review! God Bless and safe travels.
I think a lot of the hype is the party atmosphere that they have created. This is one that you could definitely skip. Especially since there are so many amazing options in Florida. Carly knows what she likes when it comes to Clam Chowder. 😆 God Bless.
