  • I made another set of tethers with new materials .
The carabiners have been replaced with delta links, and Sterling HTP used in place of the original
    oplux.
    Thanks for watching

Nice! I'm 60 and am just starting to hunt from a saddle...I've tried one-sticking and 2TC with one foot loop but I think this may be what I'm looking for! How much Sterling HTP did you use for each tether?

Thanks! I have the tethers integrated now. So, I use a 30 to 40 foot length of HTP, and tie what I'm calling a bypass link in each end.
I'll link the current video of that here.

In this specific video are the two legs coming out of the scaffold knot both going all the way through the heat shrink? Is one being used for the foot loop and the other attached to your saddles bridge? If so, which is connected to the foot loop, the main line which would tighten the scaffold hitch or the “tag” end?

@davidkoeppel4109 That's a bull hitch, so it doesn't matter which leg goes to the foot loop or the bridge. Either will tighten the hitch to the link. Then both legs run through about 2 foot long heat shrink that is shrunk onto the ropes. Then I slide a movable 2 foot long piece of heat shrink over that.
