You're amazing and thank you for seeing how incredible collective soul is ❤
Rock on dude!
I was there. I was at that stage for the heavier stuff like Sevendust and Megadeth, I remember being very impressed by Collective Soul's set. I called this as being their lead song.
Lies
@@olliestagg04 Was indeed there brother. Godsmack was between those sets. Just saw Collective Soul again the other, holy crap have they gotten old.
For being almost 25 years old, these camera looks and angles are incredible
Hahaha of course
I mean, the original Woodstock? 🤣 Not their first rodeo
Saw them live in Taupo, NZ yesterday and these guys have still got it. This song was the highlight of the set along with a cover of ACDC Dirty Deeds. Great show.
I can’t believe theirs ppl out there that would dislike collective soul.. 🤦🏻♂️
those people are called MORONS.
Great front man, nigh in and night out. I'm happy as Christmas! Love CS
And for those who would say this ,I say I pity you you poor pathetic creature,
Do you love every band? If you don't, it should be incredibly obvious how anyone could dislike a band. It's art. It's subjective. I love Collective Soul, but don't be THAT GUY.
Rival bands be like thumbs down lol 😂😂
Got to be one of the nastiest grooves ever. Love it!
Ed Roland is by far the best vocalist of the 90s era and still sounds amazing till this day !! Keep in mind he is almost 60 and he still sounds just like he did here !! You can’t say that about a lot of other rock singers.
Chris Cornell, Eddie vedder , Scott weiland and Kurt cobain are better and that’s just from one genre… he’s decent but nowhere near the best 😂
@@tomsaint786 he is lmao considering half those guys don’t sound the same nowadays. He can carry his way through a heavy rock song and I’ve seen them in concert too so ;)
@@tomsaint786 also Ed never did any drugs
If Chris, Kurt and Scott didn’t get caught in the wicked snare of drug use they’d probably be alive to sing today.
@@tomsaint786 And also Myles Kennedy just as good > ua-cam.com/video/ueRm3WgSNRA/v-deo.html

Ed is an amazing front man and such an incredible voice! Gotta love these guys. ❤
I saw these guys in Hamilton New Zealand a couple of weeks ago, and they were 🔥. This song and Shine were absolute belters. CS are one of the best rock bands of the 90s easily.
Wow 🙌
I was there too. Bucket list moment and they didn't disappoint. Love them so much ❤
Ed Roland definitely sharp. I can watch him all day all the time 😄💞
Ross makes these songs ROCK!
Bluesy and soulful. Started out like falsetto Jagger... Nice job.
Love the lead guitar beginning. He definitely on fire 🔥
Very interesting lyrics. Ed wrote with passion. Not just another rock band. The lyrics were in the cd case. If you haven’t read the lyrics do so. You will really appreciate the quality
I’ll echo a previous comment I saw about their set… The front house sound tech absolutely nailed this gig!
One of the most underrated fucking bands ever I love everything about this band!
I miss the late 90's- *sigh*
Thanks for putting this back up.
I'm just now recognizing how talented this band really is
Loved the rift hearing it live with the cords shorting gives it this really raw crunchy sound ❤❤❤ grunge the way it should be heard
I miss this line up of CS. Still one of my favorite bands but man did they rock then.
Love this song.
Great Band, saw them one New Years Eve @ The House of Blues in Myrtle Beach SC. Awesome show!!
One of my fav songs from them. Bring back the 90s
Check out their new album “Vibrating” you wont be disappointed ☺️
Definitely one of my favorites from them too
Give me a moment
Got to get this weight up off my chest
Don't feed me sorrow
Pain is a poison I digest
Find yourself another soul to hold
(You think, you thought, I know)
Off upon my journey I must go
(To where the river flows, to where the river flows)
I'll give you answers
To the questions you have yet to ask
Silence is beauty
Words, they only complicate the task
Find yourself another soul to hold
(You think, you thought, I know)
Off upon my journey I must go
(To where the river flows, to where the river flows)
Make no more wishes
All of my patience has been spent
Gods of the season
Lead me to my next incident
Find yourself another soul to hold
(You think, you thought, I know)
Off upon my journey I must go
(To where the river flows)
Find yourself another soul to hold
(You think, you thought, I know)
Off upon my journey I must go
(To where the river flows, to where the river flows, to where the river flows)
Just saw them live at SDSU last night opening for switchfoot. They ROCKED!
3:35 the Rhythm guitarist makes this part sound really good.
Dean is killer on the guitar! He's so underrated!
He is a brave man to hold his microphone stand high up in the air during an electrical storm. Dude!!!!!
I thought I saw a storm in thr background lol
Best band EVER,!!!
Man, he was rocking a sick head of hair. #sickflow
@Gregory Martin IKR!? He looks so good for his age, well he always has! He has it all: good looks, killer voice, amazing songwriting, loads of energy and an amazing southern gentleman attitude! Ed rocks!!
@@RetroSoulGirl this is his best look ever . Super HOT 🔥🔥🔥
Excellent. Music and lyrics are incredibly deep
Excellent band
This song is amazing live.
Roland was not happy at this show. He said on the stage that the rolling Stone magazine did not give them any credit for their work. And that he thought they should be on the main stage.
Well I agree with him.
One of the worst--in my subjective opinion--reviews I've read was, I believe, Rolling Stone on Disciplined Breakdown. Really undeservedly harsh.
Thank you for sharing 💞
Ed tells the drummer to tighten up at 3:22 😂
Can I get a hell yeah
hell yeah
@@beckyfrench2231 HELL FUCK YEAH
It was amazing seeing a video of my elegant vampire telling lots of "yous" "no, you didn't choose her, they chose her" showing a picture of other versions of "you"
Festival, the best live music ever.
Collective soal kicks ass!!!! Fuck yeah!!!!🤪😆😬🙃😬🤔🤨🧐😤
Saw these guys on the gel tour in the day. Awrsome show.
gritty and real. cool
Astonishing.
He’s a goodie.
Rocking in Ohio! xoxo 2021
One of my favorite bands! Seen them twice and each time they were fantastic. Shame that Ross (Lead guitar) had an affair with Ed's wife. It meant he left when Ed found out. What a stinking betrayal!!! And Ed is way hot here too, along with his brother Dean on bass.
Dean is on rhythm guitar
Ross is severely missed
Mike up !!!!😁
you could tell he was struggling with his pitch in the first bit of the song, seemed pretty annoyed haha
Yea, what was that about? You notice in their first solo, ED takes the mic stand behind the drum kit to get something worked on... when he returns, he keeps fidgeting with the tape until finally he just unwraps it... i’d love to hear from someone that knows what was happening here
@@philjones8609 From what Ed said before in interviews, I think he has an issue with what he hears being too quiet, that's why he said "turn up" in the song. He probably can't hear himself over the guitars.
The tape thing could just be him wanting to get more maneuvers with the stand/mic.
@@RetroSoulGirl thank you for this! So it’s “Turn Up” that he yells
Alwaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyys
What’s the riff Ross starts playing before he goes into Where the River Flows?
I don't remember hearing it on their early albums. Could be an improvised bit.
Thats now the standard intro to this song even today
They can still pack a crowd.. this isn't in sink..the instruments..
does anyone have tabs for this live version
Collective Metal. \m/
3:21 dude seems a little angry there.
Not angry, just trying to get people to hear he needs his mics turned up ASAP so he can give the best performance
who is making the squeaky guitar bits
I think Ross (the one with orange PRS guitar) did. You could see him doing some harmonic on 3rd fret at around 01:00
😢😢😢
Love to see young Ed in action.
I got to see them free in St.Louis for k-she's 25th birthday
Too bad about the conditions at Woodstock
I thought the blonde haired brother sang this one. Where's he at ?
Anyone knows what was the fuck...g problem with de mic??? :)
Word's..name of band..PLUS A HOTTIE..I WANT to JAM WITH THEM
As I was listening to this, someone stated that he sounded like Mickey Mouse, and now it doesn’t sound the same to me
Adam Sandler steal his voice from him ?
Mother Nature...Miss Maya matrix samsara... is a River of illusion which seems to take you away from the infinite ocean of Peace and freedom that you are! But then you woke up. ONLY DELUSIONS OF DUALITY...DIE!!
Pulaski New York
The river flows to the soul pool. 😂
This song is extremely easy to play but people are so impressed by it, LOL
Glad I missed this so I could ENJOY it before DEATH from alcohol
Kurt cobain hybrid
Umm no magic in the world can make me feel uncomfortable with you
Omg lol. His voice is terrible here.
Lmao my god he sounds awful live
No he certainly doesn’t :) get your ears checked.
@@MichaelMyers-pj2uk LMAO !!!!! YOU are
Tone deaf evidently …. 👍🇺🇸😂💀
@@BAMA-1986 not really but keep sweet talking me :)
@@MichaelMyers-pj2uk Yep, you seem like

I was surprised to know most of the songs in this set
