The airport gate use-case you gave is a great one. I am just wondering whether the phones could also just receive the "auracast" signals and send it to the connected earbuds, independent of them supporting LE or not.
This is a cool idea, but it's one of those things that'll only be useful if others adopt it. Watch Apple come out with something like this in 2 years and then everyone jumps on it.
Apple can't really "come out with it" it's part of Bluetooth so it's in TVs, Laptops, Phones, all devices that can transmit BT. So Apple would only need to add the supported BY tech and then yea, it'll be more popular.
Don't really see a huge use of this in how the video suggests, but at home for example if you play some game with a friend, you can listen to same audio without making a big noise, or listen to same Spotify playlist or an audiobook with your partner when traveling - so I don't think a very broad adoption is needed to be useful. It's an evolution of the Bluetooth technology, so if Apple skip adopting it in time they may miss out and actually be left behind for real this time. They could come out with something of their own, but the end users would then miss out, as it won't be just phones that would broadcast audio, but tech like game consoles and TVs where Apple is unimportant... As I said, they could be important for the use of some technology to become widely adopted, but don't really think this technology really depends on it. The best they can do is to steal the fame as usually in this case...
Hi, I made this update, but in the Bluetooth settings of the headphones there is no Auracast broadcast search function. I have an a52s, perhaps reserved only for top of the range? Thanks, bye 😀
Basing from the model of your phone, your bluetooth version is 5.0. The minimum version for auracast should be 5.2 so i dont think its reserved only for top of the range devices. The recent release of the A series the same with your price range the A55s have bluetooth 5.3. I read that they would also possibly bring the feature on to the a series on the latest one ui 6.1 but we dont know
Auracast isn't mentioned on Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro website once. So stupid not to put that in the specification. Even if it was an after sale update.
I've already done the update and my headphones still don't show the Auracast find button, I'm on Android 13.1 and I also have a Samsung 2023 QLED TV and I don't know how to activate Auracast on it
I think this feature is region specific or phone model specific. On my Galaxy A53, with the latest version of buds 2 pro, I don't have any auracast setting on my phone.
I just received the update to my Buds2, and on my phone, S23 ultra, there is no setting in the bluetooth section nor galaxy buds manager about Auracast.
I just noticed in one of your comments that you are on ONEUI6 (Beta I assume). I missed that in the video. Probably this is why it isn't showing up in the older ONEUI versions. Guess we'll have to wait for the update.
I get it now, but it will only be huge in the US if Apple buys in unfortunately. But if i can be in a bar, gym or airport and get the alerts or hear the tv its pretty cool
I got the update but did know what it was. I searched on inter Internet but couldn't understand. Now i get it but I don't get the option to search for broadcast! It there any restrictions?
Have you tested much with auracast? I have two separate headphones with auracast support, and they both lag with my phone, as well as my brother's phone, regardless of the connected device. I want to know if you've had any similar issues with the buds pro 2. Thanks for the video
don't believe so. It all depends on the two things i mentioned in the video for it to work, Bluetooth LE and LCE Codecs. my guess is the buds pro does not have this, or it would be in the listed of supported. im sure all headsets from here on out will be compatible. This auracast was First created Mid 2022.
How do you start such a broadcast from your phone, since it mentions that your device can act as a radio station? Does the S22 Ultra support Auracast broadcast?
I just wanna ask, is quick share working right now? I can't send files from my galaxy phone to my galaxy tab. I updated both quick share apps in both devices, nothing seems to be working. I've been having this problem for about a month now.
I just got this update but i cant find the setting that you had under the bluetooth option. I just did an update on my Galaxy s22 Ultra ( looks like you got the same one) . that now has ONE UI 5.1. But there is no setting for it. i have also tried to search for it but i cant find anything. Would you know anything about this ?
I think this is a cool update however some people might not be able to use this feature (myself included) due to my current device being inexpencive running one ui core meaning you have everything you need and nothing you don't need, this auracast feature included being one of the things you don't need
Nice vid. I do have a off topic question about the buds. So recently people can't hear me while I'm talking to them on a call on my buds. What setting can i look for to fix this? Thanks
I went ahead and bought the buds today because I'd already been on the fence about it, and so far I'm kind of disappointed. The equalizer is basic with all presets sounding kind of bad, the control scheme for the touch controls is not very efficient, and even after the update I'm not seeing the aura cast option. 🤔
@@OatesInQuotes I'm fairly sure it's not the rubber pieces as they are nearly identical to my preferred ear buds, (Jabra Elite 7 Active) and the Jabras sound so much better because I'm able to completely customize the EQ. To be fair, it's rare for me to like the EQ presets on anything, hence why the lack of, or inclusion of a customizable EQ holds so much weight on my opinion. I also learned this morning that the audio pass through is pretty bad, but that isn't something I use a lot. I think these will become my backup pair I keep in the glove box in case I forget to grab my Jabras on the way out the door. At least until they put out an update with a custom EQ option.
@@Asnow83. Downloaded. I'll have to check it out later though. But out of curiosity, why would you suggest dynamic? If this app is doing the EQ work, wouldn't the default flat setting (I forgot the name) be better?
So, from what I've read in the comments, this only shows up for those running One Ui 6 beta. Absolutely useless update for everyone running One Ui 5 (we dont see it in the Bluetooth settings).
Don't waste your time resetting the buds or Uninstalling, etc. I've tried it all and nothing brings this cast ability. I tried it on my s22 Ultra and s7 Tab+ and it's a no go. On the flip side I updated my wife's bud 2 pros on her zfold 4 and it's all there. Auracast features are fully enabled. Go figure.... again, if anyone has a solution, like so many have asked luk. Thanks
I think it’s more for kids. Think of how they share an ear pod so they can listen from one phone or maybe if you’re listening to a lecture online. Heck I have no clue I’m in your boat 😂

Auracast is unidirectional so it’s receive only

I cant find the find a broadcast option in settings, is it location based?
did you update your galaxy buds2 pro? and then go into its settings? it should be there.
Same here. I updated and went into settings. Nothing

My s22 ultra does not have this feature even tho it says updated. Maybe it's for unlocked phones only or carrier specific

Go into Samsung members app when they are connected and do the diagnostic test. So if it finds anything.
build it into all tvs please Sammy
why not to just connect both devices on the same phone?
because auracast doesn't have a limit. It can broadcast to the entire ballroom of people.
