My wife and I are retired and will be visiting North Dakota for the first time, next month. We appreciated your laidback presentation and appreciation of your surroundings.
I live in Eastern North Dakota and visited the park a couple weeks ago. I back country camped. I was only there a night and day but it was beautiful and rugged. I love it and hope to be back
Western North Dakota was a joy and a beautiful to discover, and I'll never forget my visit. The park, the little town of Medora, ND and speaking with the locals. What a great place.
Mike and Jennifer, you two are such an inspiration. Thank you for taking the time to make this videos and bringing us with you. The time spent setting up every camera shot, learning information about the park to share in the video, the hours of editing. Your efforts are very much appreciated.
Ww. You made our day. And night. We just pulled into our spot for tonight (at 11PM) after a very long, hard day of driving. I saw a video tip that needed to be shot right then to capture what we wanted to show. I was starting to have a pity party because it's late and I'm tired but we did the shot anyway. Just checked the comments here before turning in and your kind words made it all worthwhile. Thank you so much for the encouragement!!!!!
I hope your getting up to the North Unit. I feel the North Unit is more scenic, and there are three boondocking forest service campgrounds between the South Unit and North with access to trails at each. Would be easy to make a week long trip exploring the badlands. Start at Burning coal vein campground, then cottonwood campground, then magpie campground, Bennet campground, and Juniper Campground. Then if you still want more badlands check out the east view campground/badlands trail rides in the Little Missouri state park. The trails into the badlands are excellent.
TRNP and Medora definitely bring me back year after year. The 149mi Maah Daah Hey Trail goes through Medora and offers incredible backpacking and mountain biking. Dakota Cyclery is a great outfitter and resource I have used.
While Teddy stood on those rocks in the TRNP, the3 picture of him is standing on Glacier Point in Yosemite NP with Yosemite Falls behind him (and John Muir cut out on the right side of the picture).
This is one of my favorite of your videos so far because it feels less staged, although I know that it took much choreography to make it happen. I've never thought or desired to visit North Dakota and the Bad Lands, but I do now. Thank you for opening up a new possibility.
I only got a day and a half there, but I know I'll go back. It is so pretty, and I saw more bison there than in Yellowstone. Next trip zi hope to see the theatrical production. Shelley from San Diego
Great vid. I’m Vegan and it’s great not to have to worry about grilling Save money on meats also. Love glamping in my new Fifth wheel camper. You guys are the Best.
Ok, Mike and Jennifer it time for you two to develop your list of the more remote places. As an aspiring writer, I'm developing a knowledge base to travel during the summer between interstates 80 and 90 for longer days, low humiditiy, and picturesque vistas. :-)
Thanks for posting this video. The Dakotas are on our schedule to visit in a few weeks (after they get over the Sturgis rally craziness) so this gives us a better idea what to look forward to.
Love it!! Such a beautiful park, do you guys have a drone? My wife and I are about to embark on our own RV lifestyle later this year. We hope to meet you out on the road. Safe travels and you got a new subscriber here.
Ok, North Dakota national park sound very big. I guess it would be nice to have a picnic table. But you don't have to stay in a campground right? To stay in the campground cost money?
It cost $7 a night with the Senior Pass... And to camp in a National Park you must stay in a designated campground. There are bathrooms with running water. No showers, no electricity. There are also water spigots placed throughout the campground.
I found some info on the web. I think the bottom line is every national park has their own rules. I'll keep researching. But there's no real learning than being there. 😊
New subscriber here I’m sure it’s been asked before but how long is your rv and is it difficult to drive and park in urban areas? Thanks in advance for the answers.
Ours is a 2017 Roadtrek CS Adventurous XL 4X4 and it is just under 24 feet long. We use it all year round and when not camping, I drive it as a second vehicle and use it just like my car.
I love you guys, but “Roadtrek pioneering solar panels in RVs” is a bit of hyperbole. Perhaps Roadtrek is a solar pioneer in the mass produced RV market, but there are plenty of smaller RV and expedition vehicle builders who have been making 100% solar powered rigs for well over ten years now. Solar is the only way to go IMO.
My grandma brought me there back in July 202 and I thank her for that still my grandma lives in Ashley North Dakota

So grateful to Teddy Roosevelt for establishing the National Parks.

Thanks. This was beautiful.
I wanna live in south dakota and I will surely live there ❤️
We live only a few minutes away from the badlands and love to go there as often as we can in the summer!
I've been to North Dakota exactly once in my life, but that's where I went, Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
It does look peaceful and quiet. Love the bison and wild horses.
Quiet is what camping is about, listening to nature's voice
Another gorgeous place. That view from that trail peak was stunning
Awesome
For sure on the list
Thanks
Look forward to seeing more videos
We love places like this
Lovely video.
My wife, boys, and I camped there many years ago. It was a highlight of out trip to Glacier.
I fell in love with the campground that you're at because of the cottonwood trees. Hopefully one of these years I get visit the park.
i live in medora!

Was hot and busy when were there last July, but enjoyed.
I really love watching your videos!!!! You guys are the best and love all the great information!

Lovely! Nothing like being surrounded by God's beauty!
We love your videos. Please keep them coming. We have a question for you. Does Roadtrek still make the Adventurous TS???
Very very nice😍😍
Thanks for posting this video. The Dakotas are on our schedule to visit in a few weeks (after they get over the Sturgis rally craziness) so this gives us a better idea what to look forward to.
You two are too sweet.
I’ll be going tomorrow.
It’s Labor Day though, yikes.
Love it!! Such a beautiful park, do you guys have a drone? My wife and I are about to embark on our own RV lifestyle later this year. We hope to meet you out on the road. Safe travels and you got a new subscriber here.
Beautiful. Can the park accommodate big rigs?
There are a few big pullthoughs...best t reserve them i advance, though
What month were you there. When is the best?

RV Lifestyle. Thank you. I'm getting the senior pass and my husband is a vet so his is free. So you can't boondock in a national park?
ONLY in designated campgrounds
I found some info on the web. I think the bottom line is every national park has their own rules. I'll keep researching. But there's no real learning than being there. 😊

RV Lifestyle does it fit in a standard parking spot?
No... You can back it in spots that dont have a row in fron but generally I take one and a half spots
Dogs allowed in the campground?
Certainy... On a leash, if course.

Right... But ib mass produced non=custom production vehicles they have clearly pioneered its use.
Looks like the park needs to spray their leafy spurge.
