We tested the Icom software using ios 18.3 on the iphone, ipad and macbook pro. All connected well with the ID-52 Plus. We do have a plan to dig deeper into the setting as to what need to be on or off. We doing some ice fishing and tidying up our DB to do a bit more.
Some Good News, icom update the iphone app on Dec 20,2024 and now it connect and work on my iphone, like on the macbookpro. still an issue with communication to the radio ic-705, but okay on ID-52Plus, using iphone 12 with ios 18.2
Now work on iphone 12 with ios 18.2 on. the ID-52Plus. On the ic705, it works just with same issue as running it on macbookpro 15.2 wiht m1 chip. Issue is communicating with the radio.
I have more to come, We setup RS-MS3i and RS-MS1i from icom on macbook Pro, ipad and iphone. We also went deeper into the CS software that icom provided free. With the RS-MS3i you use this as a gateway app and you can connect to Dstar online with the handheld. Only need zero power output. No hotspot used.
Which model iphone are you having issue. I know the iphone 12 with ios 18, gives me an error. Okay with ipad iso17 and ok with MacbookPro M1 with 15.2. However, I had to use bluetooth echo to connect, not so with the others. I may give iphone 11 a try, to see if it work later
Are you referring to Filemaker Pro. It an application that one can create database, presentation, spreadsheet, accounting, endless stuff. For example I download all the repeaters from repeaterbook and with my DB, I can reorganized it anyway I want, then export it, save it to sd card or connect to ID-52 sd card, add and inport it, all oraganized in my groups. One can do that with the CS-52 software, however you need to manipulate and organized it one by one. I use a script to do it. Hope this is what you are referring too, if not, let me know with more detils. While I have a purchase it for my mac, to use it on ipad or iphone, the ipad, iphone app is free.
Be sure you have your callsign properly entered in the ID-52A Plus, this also applies to the IC-705 in Terminal Mode. Terminal Mode won't work if Callsign not entered in settings and of course, if you haven't, you need to register your callsign with DStar. If you have registered, login to dstar and check that you have added an ssid letter is active. If none, then terminal mode won't work. I have 4 active, you need one for every unique radio, if you have 3 dstar radio, you needs to have 3 ssid active and unique for each radio. Otherwise, terminal mode won't work.
Thanks for the video 👍🏼

We also use the RS-MS3i and 1i on the ic-705 using macbookpro Sequoia on a M1 chip laptop. Will show more on this

@ My iPhone 14 Pro Max uses the A16 Bionic chip and I’m running iOS 18.2.
With the update 1.01, is it working on your iphone 14? If it cannot communicate with radio, be sure CV transmit is on.
I cannot find the “CV Transmit” option anywhere. Can you point me in the right direction?

@@SimplyOffGridLife I have the app and although the iPhone and radio recognize each other, will not connect.

@ iPhone 14 Pro Max with iOS 18.2
@ I have an old 11 pro max laying around that has iOS 16 and can be connected to my home’s WiFi
What is the “power maker” database mentioned around minute 3:50?
