Hi. Can’t see the front of the turning disc. But I haven’t had any problems seeing the material and gauging when to stop at the base of a trunk or something I don’t want to mulch.
I WAS WONDERING HOW YOU ARE LIKING THIS MULCHER NOW THAT SOME MORE TIME HAS GONE BY. ANY ISSUES? HAVE YOU HAD TO REPLACE ANY TEETH? HOW MANY HOURS DO THE TEETH LAST AND ARE THEY EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE?
Still love the mulcher. I don’t have any regrets buying this. I have had to replace the teeth. You can turn them to get more life out of them. Each replacement tooth is $27 plus tax. As far as length of time the teeth last, that completely dependent on many factors, how often you cut into grade, what type of material your cutting etc. you should examine the teeth after every use and determine how efficiently you’re cutting.
Both the top cat and the rut are for high flow machines. I believe Rut has an option for low flow. You’ll have to contact them. I don’t know about the topcat
Hi, still have the factory glass. Planning on getting a lexan door, but then I see other guys like Andrew Camarata mulching and brush cutting in an open cab😳 and think to myself.. “heh”
@@SteveDoesEverything I have a Kubota SVL 75-2 that I brush cut with and I still have the factory glass, been debating getting one of the disc mulchers like yours except the 48" version.
I did have a piece of debris hit my door on the last job and it sounded pretty violent. Made my cheeks pucker a little bit. So it’s probably not a bad idea.
@@SteveDoesEverything holy crap dude! Don't run that thing another minute without a forestry door! Andrew is a talented guy but he's a dumb ass when it comes to safety. Many forestry industry professionals warned him to get a door and stop downplaying the need for them. When it comes to vegetation management equipment he had no idea what he's talking about. You will kill or seriously injure yourself without Lexan. Especially on a disc mulcher. ESPECIALLY...
Thanks for sharing, great video!!
Unpleasant but you did good pushing through.
So frustrating when things aren’t top notch
Just got mine but it's the 48 on a Kubota svl75 love it
Awesome. Congrats!
Do the Kubota have enough power.
Great vid, does the big box that covers the pump impede the view of what you are mulching?

How does it do on palmettos?
When the teeth are good. It powers through them pretty decently
Thank you very much for that video. I will probably buy one if you can tell me how it does with the palmettos. I have a ton.
The RUT disc mulcher does real well in the palmettos. Depends on your machine that powers it . Needs a good 38-40gpm
Thank you sir. @@SteveDoesEverything

What is the flow rate for it I'm thinking about getting one but my skidsteer is 22.5 gpm

I have a question about this mulcher
Damn....wish i woulda seen this video before I bought my Skid Pro X4....its a good unit...just not as "mulchy" as this one.
I’m
Really happy with the RUT so far
Do you have a forestry door on your machine or still factory glass?
