No. You can't see each other's faces. You can't distinguish what is RP and what is OOC. You don't even use your own smell, face or social status, that's all fixed in game through customization options.
Let me tell you a story. It's a story about a man named T. I won't out him. We played on a server with a high female population. He is a 30 year old neckbeard with the attitude of a child. Yet he managed to go through a bunch of girls in RP dating. This is the internet. EVERYONE is fucked up here once they spend enough time here.

It’s like when u end up having an affair or hooking up with a co-worker. A majority of people spend most their time at work, ur co workers see u more than sometimes most of ur fam or friends, then co workers start to have that line blurred from being around each other that often. So all makes sense. Prob a lil rarer bc it’s thru a game and not face to face so to speak, and everyone lives all over the world physically. But when it happens to be ur in the same area..?? Then boom! Lol.

@@user-gj5et3zy5o still, its not "meeting at the workplace". I've been around RP circles for enough time to know OOC relationships built on relationship RP creates drama in 95% of all cases. It also causes OOC actions to influence IC decisions because love and heartbreak are such powerful forces.
@@orangemv old but since ERP is back in full force, that not important, most dev work for example is remote if u can find gf there then i see no difference in RP.
specially in today world where online dating is huge thing.
u enjoy someone RP --> u talk offline --> u enjoy someone OOC --> u slowly develop a relationship
I am speaking from experience.
1.
One side is overly invested, turning the entire RP into a catastrophe. An example of this is when a friend of mine got into an RP relationship, his girl posted a bunch of pictures in discord OOC of their characters kissing and hugging. She made art of the characters. She complained constantly that he couldn't get in-state often. She demanded his full attention at all times. Eventually, he found an RP reason to break up with her and she ranted in his DMs.
2. Both sides are extreme loners who do nothing but spend time online with each other. Usually, they have no friends online except their RP partner, or the friends they keep are loose. Two people I had talked to fairly often got into an RP relationship. They both matched profiles and shit. It was obviously OOC from the start. Anything that happens in game is taken out of game. The game is no longer the game. Those two people got into all sorts of drama, and it really is dangerous to have a pretend-world be your daily social life.
3. Both sides are equally as sensible. Both sides know it is just RP. Both sides don't take offense to things that happen INRP. One or both have IRL partners. I have never really seen this, it is purely theoretical. I can only believe that everyone doesn't take pixels super seriously.
Sidenote: If you are together OOC before the RP starts, that's just a more stable 2.

its not a private chat weirdo. she's literally speaking to the internet. stuff like that gets clipped every single day. as a streamer you need to be self aware. whats weird is people trying to white knight her when she clearly doesn't care and speaks openly about things.
If you think about it online meeting in theory is healthier in the long run than meeting someone irl as first contact. Irl our biology is attracted by looks mostly. Here they got to know each other over a long time without physical distraction. Humans still are attracted over pheromones smelling each other which is subconscious or even masked by parfume. Take that away and you have the potential of getting to know someone given that both sides stay honest.

Honestly, Kitty is a poor example to use. I found it very annoying for people to harass streamers who do relationship RP. Kitty, however, always told her chat that it was just RP. A couple of months later. They're actually a thing and screwing around. I don't mind this. It's their life. However, Kitty gave the harassers something to stand on with relationship RP, not just being RP. There are other streamers who do relationship RP being bullied and Kitty did not help them at all with their case by lying.
