Im always relieved whenever the weapon is direct craft, it kind of feels cheap but honestly It’s a pain to run out of one bone or one ore you need for the prerequisite weapons
the only thing that rivals it mid game is the guild palace weapons, but you have to unlock the water element with a skill that could easily be replaced with enough handicraft for a masters touch set.
I remember the frostfang ls fondly. Weapon i was using when i took solo alatreon the firsg time. Not the best raw compared to other top weapons, but that elemental damage stops ecatone judgment in no time.
I personally love using 4 Fatalis and 1 Frostfang armor pieces for those sweet set skills. It's amazing to go full health and stamina, with stun lvl 5 thanks to Frostfang leggings a, and that sheathe stun bonus from Frostfang set, specially useful for long sword if you're good with iai parry. Just an hour ago I demolished a tempered ruiner Nergigante, the poor guy spent almost the entire fight down on his back due to all the stun I was inflicting, every single parry knocked him down. Satisfying AF, and thanks to the fatalis set, I didn't have to worry about health, antistun, and many other things. Edit: forgot to add that Frostfang's layered armor sets are so sick that I have both a and b sets, and in most of my builds I like to mix parts of both sets. It looks good if you go full a, full b, mixed, without helmet or even mixing with other things since its colors look great with almost anything.
Words could not express how happy I was that they finally brought back the Barioth G-rank armor look. It's one of my favorite armors in Monster Hunter.
Legit my fam monster (i know it's surprising there's like nothing that could tell you that about my profile huh), he's very unforgiving but very easy to punish, he's fast without being a btch and everything about him and his gear look absolutly bonkers
I just finished farming this Quest today! Gathered enough materials after 2 days to craft Alpha set and upgrade my Barioth LS and Barioth CB to both FFBarioth Weapons
Whenever I tried to do this hunt with friends, I’d get DC’d from the party and have to finish the fight on my own anyway while they stayed together. Fun times😭😭
i for sure found frostfang easier than regular. I could be tripping but I feel like it just has longer openings after the more powerful attacks. That shoulder bash still sucks though!
I ran with the Greatsword and alot of element augment, and velkhana armor, for that juicy frostcraft and critical element. Beat him in 12 min, (Not a speedrunner) and I'm talking about alatreon
I wonder if there’s a glaive option of this because the Barton weapons (when the ice sword guy I forget his name isn’t an option) are my personal favorites for ice element for my glaive.
Punishing Draw and Slugger Secret? Man, this armor set looks so good, if only there wasn't another armor set with EVERY SINGLE SECRET SKILL GOD DAMMIT FATALIS.

Silos armor with Garuga boots and frostfang weapons are sure the best option if you dont have Safijiiva gear and Kjarr weapons

One of my favorite layered looks is the female frostfang armor minus the head, the Tobi head, and the frozen tuna GS. Looks so cool

He is easier for veterans, but can be nightmare as normal barioth for a newcomers/ relatively new players, who started from generations.
both Barioths are really tough, can feel very difficult learning their openings
