    We released a brand new QQQ ETF Trading System at the Tampa 2024 Two-Day Investment Seminar, and it was a huge hit with our subscribers. The simplicity of buying just a single ETF and still making life changing money in the stock market is a proposition that is hard to pass up. We also issued a challenge to see if any of our subscribers could improve the performance and I am delighted to announce that some of our elite VectorVest subscribers, led by Don Reitsma, have produced a couple of prolific NASDAQ 100 ETF trading systems. Please join Steve Chappell, Director of Trading Systems Development, as he brings to life these brand-new trading systems.

    Market is going up , the 2 RTs crossover in an uptrend DURING a Confirm Down . THEN leverage when confirm up . Sell on Confirm Down . Wait for a set a Bullish up . Buy again . I would add a tweak . After selling the leveraged ETF on a Confirm Down , wait for a Bearish set up with RTs crossing over in a DOWN TREND , buy a single leveraged CONTRA ETF . For the chart used in this example , there was no Bearish set up signal for this trade to occur .

    As a long time subscriber I must say this is awesome! I would like to know how long and how many back tests they had to make before they were able to attain this return?
    Nitro will be my new strategy going forward. Very good work guys!
    Now having said that, both strategies have times sometimes lengthy times when it’s in cash, im wondering during these times, is there a way to put that cash to work, to give the strategies and extra “bump?”
    Would be great to have subscribers attempt to improve these already fantastic strategies.
    Once again guys, thank you for the work that was put into developing these strategies….nitro is my new strategy going forward

      Thank you!! Not that many back tests but also looked at graphs for consistency. It's something I had been working on before but set it aside until the VV QQQ ETF system came out. I hope there will be improvements by others and that they are willing to share. Yes, there are long periods before the next trade by looking at the right side of the curve, but there are not consistently long periods of time which would make it difficult to determine when to use a different strategy. The extra bump in this strategy is sometimes buying QQQ when there is a C/Dn. This makes quite a difference.

    Donald, the run I made with GLB/RT Kicker, actually used different stop criteria for the TQQQ long position. Sorry I did not notice that on my original comment. I was using a 99% gain, 10% loss intraday setting in back tester.

    @VV : When I enter TQQQ first time (with confirmed UP), it gets sold when stop loss hits 5%. On what condition, do I need to reenter in TQQQ as confirmed is still UP. Per presentation, I cannot enter into TQQQ until confirmed is DOWN (after a stop loss) and then enter in QQQ with certain moving average condition. I'll miss uptrend if there is any. The condition you provided in the presentation works fine if there are profit like 20% in TQQQ and it does not get sold when there is short term pullback. How does that works initially if there is unfortunately a pullback right after entering into TQQQ.

      You just have to follow the rules and if the markets continue as they did for the previous 8 years, you will make money.

    Great system on a great run. I hope to get on board if we ever have a C/Dn, then the crossover, lol. I do have a timing question if you would. Per the Transaction Log, the Plan waited some 8 days after selling QQQ on 11/27/23 to buy QLD. The log shows that QQQ was sold on 11/27/23 and QLD was bought on 12/5/23. Normally per the strategy, QLD would be bought a day after QQQ was sold, as long as the C/Up is still in place and RT is 1.4)? Thanks....

    Hez guys, is it right that the down phase he showed it this Video was no loss but just a little down in the portfolio. That means we sit this out untill the singal und the sell the qqq and buy the qld? Thats wiuld explain why he had made so little losses.

    Excuse my limited knowledge of this program. But is Turbo and Nitro just the names of Vv special programs ?

    • @raymondorriss653
      @raymondorriss653 7 місяців тому +2

      No. They are just names given to them. Proprietary parts are the signals of confirmed ups or downs and the fact that Vector Vest is apparently adding this to systems that they follow.

      Those are just 2 trading system that they created. Turbo uses QLD and 30% gain or 5% loss exit points where Nitro trading system uses TQQQ (3x leverage) and 50% gain or 5% loss exits. VectorVest 7 is the trading platform (software).

      It was how I decided to name them depending on the ETF used for the C/Up. There are two other systems that have not been put on the Trading System Viewer, SUPER and SUPER+ which only use QQQ. TURBO uses QLD which is a 2x leveraged ETF and NITRO uses TQQQ which is a 3x leveraged ETF.

    I believe you said that you have no stop-loss for the initial entry purchase on your RT Buy signal for QQQ. If so, how would you handle a sustained and substantial drop in the price of QQQ that began after entry? Perhaps caused by some kind of Black Swan Event, or the beginning of a Fed interest rate tightening cycle as happened in early 2022. For example, a 20%-30% drop? Thanks.

    • @donaldreitsma6419
      @donaldreitsma6419 7 місяців тому +4

      That's right, no stop after buying QQQ during a C/Dn. Black Swan events are usually short lived and would have occurred before the buy signal. The systems performed very well through 2018, the Covid Crash and 2022.

    Is the original qqq trade system a buy when you get a green light kicker and sell at C/dn;

    • @donaldreitsma6419
      @donaldreitsma6419 7 місяців тому

      Yes. The VV QQQ ETF strategy buys on a GLB/RT Kicker combo up signal and sells on the down signal. It does not perform as buy and hold in the back tests that I did but it did reduce the maximum drawdown by half. It's not a system I would use which is why I developed these systems.
