I need a fan to sleep too, I have a solar fan that I made myself using my 3d printer an old solar panel hooked up to a charging board for a battery plus a scrap electric motor!

So far the best table fan that I used, was a 140mm case can with a variable boost converter that will do 5V to 12V (adjustable with a potentiometer). Decent airflow and virtually silent at 1000 RPM, and slightly noticable at 1500RPM, and definitely noticable but not loud at 2000RPM.
