Really love how the stage mod matches the look and feel of the base game of Sonic CD. One thing I'm mainly worried about is how difficult* and impractical it is to transition between the past and future since the stage has a lot of stops, but other than that, this is a great mod. Nice walkthrough JP
That's probably why it originally got removed in the first place, the devs said the level was too slow moving for a sonic game. (Edit: I made a silly, i was thinking while watching the video and came across the realization that this recreation isnt the original layout 😵 my fault)
Well I guess the "hard to transition" concept is easily guessable by the fact that Dubious Depths is Marble Zone's CD counterpart. Well, in the video the player managed to transition, that's for sure. Well, I don't see it too much as a bad thing, as one of the core elements of CD's duality-based gameplay is exploration.
Extra Badnik did a flawless job matching the art style of Sonic CD. It's got that smooth and vivid look that's just a little prettier than the Genesis art. Nice work.

Crazily enough, this definitely gives you the sisterly version of Tidal Tempest (except this one has no water). I also think "Dubious Depths" would best suit the world than the other names (considering it gives you that suspense similar to the end credits cameo).
Yeah, relic ruins sounds kinda stupid and is literally a fan name while ridicule root sounds like it was the name while palmtree panic was still named salad plain.
I think that they had a great opportunity to use these levels for Amy Rose, as it fits her gameplay and speed. These levels were removed, for the reason that they prevented sonic from travelling through time and included many roadblocks. It would certainly be a spectacular idea, as we get to see both sides of the story from Amy Rose and how it was for her during the time Sonic tried to save Little Planet. Basically a Sonic-Adventure 1 and 2 esque story but only with Amy. Im not sure if the story would sense in this situation since it would be difficult for Amy to escape from Metal Sonic's wrath but maybe, just maybe she manages to escape from him and we get to play as her and observe her perspective. A tip is that she could used her piko piko hammer as a weapon. Maybe remove the robot generators for her.
WOW, modders got this far? Now we must get a mod that put Desert Dazzle, the REAL Final Fever boss planned by Taxman, and a playable Knuckles on the 2011 version of sonic CD!

You could take advantage of some of the gaps seen in these levels and use them to travel through time. It was showcased in the gameplay.

@@genyakozlov1316 They even reuse assets from the same game sometimes; for example, Hill Top Zone uses recoloured Emerald Hill graphics.
