    Most folks with the X-Class step-over just get a 3rd-party triangle battery and hang it in the center under the step-over bar. Plenty of room under there! :)

      Yeah I've seen that quite a bit. I just don't like the way that looks and don't like the way those just dangle around. I'll probably fabricate a better mount when I get around to doing it. I like the cage on the grizzly rear battery and I'll probably do something like that.

    Most of both Kepler and X class owners have been adding 2nd or 3 rd battery to these bikes for quite sometimes now, it is very easy to do, and very well worth it. Great channel 👍 subscribed !

    The build quality on the ariel bikes is just great, I think. Love it. Also you can probably make your own seat for this thing pretty easily with stuff from the fabric/craft store.

    Oh.. The Kepler has a top charge port. I never charge it on the bike but it is about thigh high. I'm buying a battery online for the Kepler. $400-$450 range through Ali Express. Charger and key with it. 👍You could make some kind of the down inside that top case for a spare battery. Just switch them out when one goes low. I'm also thinking of a Givi top case. Maybe some battery powered rear light on the back of the case. But on the Kepler we have a larger rack area I think. And the sides have protection to put on real motorcycle style waterproof saddlebags and a top dry bag. Many options for 60 liter or so worth or storage. Good video 👍😁

      It is different, it's not stock. I changed the handlebar to a bmx handlebar. Unfortunately I don't have a link for it but it's just a standard bmx bar. Look on Dan's comp website or Amazon, there's lots to choose from. But remember you don't really want to go higher than a 9 inch rise.
      I think I talk about the bars and accessories as I'm putting them on in my assembly videos, check them out.
      Thanks for the compliments on my bike, that's cool.

    Wired Freedom goes 38mph and is only $2000. 26x4 with full suspension is much more comfortable than 20x4 and it pedals like a real bike.

    • @woodtickgreg6926
      @woodtickgreg6926  Рік тому

      Back when I purchased the x-class it was one of the best bikes out there for the money. New bikes are coming out all the time. A couple of things I would really be looking at if I ever purchased a new bike would be how good is the suspension? All bikes have a suspension but most are not really good. And the second thing for me would be battery size. Speed is not really a factor for me, I like to keep it legal and the cops don't hassle me. If I want to go faster I have a motorcycle, lol. It will be interesting to see what comes out in the next couple of years. The wired freedom does look cool. But I'll say this, I have not had any problems or failures with the x-class, it just works and works well. I'm not sorry I purchased it.

    the only solution I found to minimize the brake squeal is to clean the disc before every third/fourth ride. They barely make a peep after a quick wipe with a microfiber towel and brake cleaner. Great review. The x-class is best the bang for the buck.

    • @woodtickgreg6926

      @obeii1 Green pads are organic material. The tectros pads are color coded depending on what material they are made from. Get the ariel rider, it's a far better bike than the juiced bike. I looked at the juiced when I was shopping for my bike, I read too many negative reviews on the juiced. Plus the x-class is a faster bike when it's unlocked.

    • @woodtickgreg6926
      @woodtickgreg6926  Рік тому

      Thanks for the feedback. I think part of the problem is the foam is too dense already. I've got a plan for the seat and the shock. The seat will probably get done over the winter here in Michigan. The current shock will probably just get a new softer spring.

    • @woodtickgreg6926
      @woodtickgreg6926  Рік тому +1

      I dunno, but it would probably take some modifications and wouldn't just be a bolt on. Plus a rebel seat might be to wide to comfortably pedal. Now that I have another seat for the seat pan I can modify the foam and sew up something one of a kind for the cover and it will be an easy bolt on. It'll be a winter project. I think I have all of the materials now.

    Cool video and nice bike too! The center bag is a nice touch cuz I was planning to do the same with my bike just to cover the battery (which means I'd house the battery there and cut some holes to let the cables out). I was wondering if the bag is waterproof enough for rain and sturdy enough for light physical contact? Also, does it get in the way when you're pedaling? Thanks!

    • @woodtickgreg6926
      @woodtickgreg6926  Рік тому +2

      It doesn't get in the way when peddling. It is a fairly sturdy bag. Not sure on its waterproofnes as I don't ride in the rain, but I do use it everyday that it's not raining. The bag did come with a rain fly that you can cover the bag with. I go over the bag in the assembly and accessory videos that I made. I also show how I reinforced the bottom of the bag to make it more of a sturdy mount in one of the accessory videos.

    About your brakes, You can't get them to stop squealing. Neither can I. But I don't have an Ariel. I have a generic Chinese bike (whose frame shows up on some American and Australian brands) and I can't stop the squealing. My bike shop says it is because I slow down gradually and glaze the brakes. But I do not intend to do sudden stops and get hit from behind. I think this might be a widespread problem with light disc-braked bikes.

    • @woodtickgreg6926
      @woodtickgreg6926  Рік тому

      I have gotten my brakes to stop squealing finally by changing the pads to an organic pad material. Been riding for about a month now and the squeal has not returned. Changing the pads to a different material or changing the rotor to thicker rotors will also help with the squeal. I believe your bike shop has given you bad information about why your brakes squeal. I would find another shop. Everyone slows down gradually, bikes, motorcycles etc. Brake squeal is caused by vibration, also known as chatter. It's common in cheap brakes like the Chinese use. What brand of brakes are on your bike? I did a video on changing the brake bads and one of my rotors that got bent in a crash. It might give you some tips.

      Yeah well if you don't buy a bike from a shop who is going to fix it? It's the same with all off these Chinese bikes you order online. If they break you have to fix them. If you can't do that then buy a bike from a shop that can do the repairs for you. The Ariel rider x-class is unlike any other bike out there with its 2,000 watt motor and awesome power at its price range. I have almost 3,000 trouble free miles on mine. And yes I know what end of the screwdriver to hold on to and I'm capable of doing my own repairs if need be. Sorry you had problems with yours, most people do not. Pretty bold statement to say they are junk on my video because you had problems but thousands of others have not. And no where on there site do they say they will provide repairs, just cover warranty on parts. I am not sponsored or endorsed by them, just very happy with my bike. I get nothing extra from them, I bought my bike, put it together, modified it, and just enjoy it. If you have an issue with them you need to take it up with them, not me or my viewers that also have these bikes and enjoy them.
