The minute seventeen didn't win best dance award I knew people would be upset and rightly so. Seventeen deserved that award. 13 guys dance perfectly insyc with each other while still singing as well and they don't win the award, that's crazy. You clearly don't know anything about dance. Best Choreography IS NOT the same as hardest choreography. Best Choreography ultimately means which song fits best for the song and there were plenty of other songs who could have won it before Seventeen. At the end of the day, armys voted and BTS won. Carats should do that instead of whining and complaining.

@Peace&Respect Nominations exist because they show you who the top competitors are. It is an honour to even be nominated because it shows how close you are to winning. If there are groups who are close to each other in sales, votes are just a way to pick between them. This should be common sense. I’ve started stanning svt this quarantine, I can definitely say they were robbed of the best dance award. I stopped watching MAMA bec EXO was disrespected so much back then and I’m so sad that it’s happening to seventeen as well. No other groups caught my eye performing in MAMA except seventeen. THEY DONT DESERVE THIS DISRESPECT. Award shows are popularity shows these days, talent is different.
Nowadays MAMA is like the group with biggest fandom gets the award every group deserves it but that doesn't mean every group deserves every award I'm glad EXO has stopped attending these award shows . MAMA is literally a snake and the same happened in 2020. MAMA doesn't deserve legends like EXO and SVT .

It would be way better for the Best Male Dance Performance category to be judged by PROFESSIONAL DANCERS and for them to decide the winner rather than letting the fans vote for the category. I have a feeling most fans don't know much about dance and they just choose their favorite artists on top of the quality of a dance. Also I find it weird that for the past two years Seventeen won the BMDP award against BTS even when BTS had harder/more complex choreographies at the time, an example is DNA. But now that SVT had a harder and more complex choreography compared to the simplicity of BWL, BTS got the award instead.
I think there's no one strict criteria for best dance performance... i dont know how MAMA/judges decide. they said that if people can easily dance the steps (make it a trend) it is a huge factor for this category.. but how about Don't wanna cry last 2017? It is definitely not an easy choreo. But i can say that Oh my! is partially easy. Also, many believed that the votes are important in this category , yes, of course, I agree..but then I realized that ever since bts has more fans than svt. But svt won for two consecutive years beating bts. I am starting to think if a criteria really exists or they just give it to whoever they like.

I'll be honest, Boy With Luv's choreo can't win over Hit or fear, even choreographers and performers I know pick Hit. So basically the award will go to who is more popular and not based on who really deserved it, Seventeed should win the award! For the performance and screen time, I get bored on BTS performance, 40+ minutes was just to much, it is really long, MNET should know that BTS is still human, they get tired too! Even some idols screentime are affected because of that! Certain groups only perform 3 songs or even less, and that was really disappointing as a multistan. Well my point for this is award is award, those who really deserve the award, should win the award and not bases by the number of votes. And music awards is music awards, many artists will perform and not only one, give artists proper screentime and the right amount of time to perform in an event that only happen once a year. Every group deserve to win an award but it should be given to who deserve it(hope that makes sense😅).I am strongly disappointed to Mnet, Award should be given to those who deserve it.

I really have a high standard when it comes to male group. I always want an all out performance, showing everyone their talent and how to hype the stage. Not for nothin' but SEVENTEEN's "FEAR" dance performance is far and away the winner that was denied. The simplicity of "Boy With Luv" doesn't even compare to the complex synchronicity of SEVENTEEN's choreography.

They produce their own songs, create their own choreos, and even host variety shows every month, imagine how tiring it must be. For those who do not know, SCOUPS had an anxiety crisis and therefore could not be present. bts is my ult group but I kinda agree with you, bwl choreo was much weaker than fear, and although bts are incredible dancers this particular choreo didn't deserve BDP. but well at this point I think it can't be fair to put bts against anyone, like they're so popular that I don't think any group can win anything against them

I’ve started stanning svt this quarantine, I can definitely say they were robbed of the best dance award. I stopped watching MAMA bec EXO was disrespected so much back then and I’m so sad that it’s happening to seventeen as well. No other groups caught my eye performing in MAMA except seventeen. It would be way better for the Best Male Dance Performance category to be judged by PROFESSIONAL DANCERS and for them to decide the winner rather than letting the fans vote for the category. I have a feeling most fans don't know much about dance and they just choose their favorite artists on top of the quality of a dance.
Also I find it weird that for the past two years Seventeen won the BMDP award against BTS even when BTS had harder/more complex choreographies at the time, an example is DNA. But now that SVT had a harder and more complex choreography compared to the simplicity of BWL, BTS got the award instead.
I think there's no one strict criteria for best dance performance... i dont know how MAMA/judges decide.
they said that if people can easily dance the steps (make it a trend) it is a huge factor for this category.. but how about Don't wanna cry last 2017? It is definitely not an easy choreo. But i can say that Oh my! is partially easy. Also, many believed that the votes are important in this category , yes, of course, I agree..but then I realized that ever since bts has more fans than svt. But svt won for two consecutive years beating bts. I am starting to think if a criteria really exists or they just give it to whoever they like.

I'll be honest, Boy With Luv's choreo can't win over Hit or fear, even choreographers and performers I know pick Hit. So basically the award will go to who is more popular and not based on who really deserved it, Seventeed should win the award! For the performance and screen time, I get bored on BTS performance, 40+ minutes was just to much, it is really long, MNET should know that BTS is still human, they get tired too! Even some idols screentime are affected because of that! Certain groups only perform 3 songs or even less, and that was really disappointing as a multistan. Well my point for this is award is award, those who really deserve the award, should win the award and not bases by the number of votes. And music awards is music awards, many artists will perform and not only one, give artists proper screentime and the right amount of time to perform in an event that only happen once a year. Every group deserve to win an award but it should be given to who deserve it(hope that makes sense😅).I am strongly disappointed to Mnet, Award should be given to those who deserve it.

SVT totally owned the night. like for real. the performance made me went speechless & i had goosebumps all over my body. this is my first time ever seeing svt THIS AGGRESSIVE (all in my 6 years of stanning them) and carats know why. the overflowing energy & intensity of the performance is enough to prove why svt are the best performers ever. no one & nothing can beat them with that. Seventeen deserves as much recognition and awards for being the most hardworking idols out there. They produce their own songs, create their own choreos, and even host variety shows every month, imagine how tiring it must be. And ofc, they are the dance kings, no doubt the award was quite controversial. It is never about bts deserving less, its about seventeen deserving more.

단순히 그 그룹이 퍼포상을 받았다는게 잘못되었다는게 아니라 타팬이 봐도 훨씬 훌륭한 퍼포였고,다들 그렇게 말하는데도 못받았다는게 이제 정말 시상식의 의미가 없어졌다는 이야기라는게 문제이다.
