I remember when this happened. So wonderful to see Bob and his wife. They’re truly inspirational.
I remember that and I was devastated but I’m happy to see him doing and looking good.
I remember that.
he even has a piece of his brain/skull missing in the photo... how did they reconstruct that? his injury are not showing anymore. incredible. would love to hear more about that...
@northwest7064 I had the exact same thing happen to me not long after in in Iraq. I met Bob at Walter Reed. They CT scan your skull and make a model. Then they craft a 3d printed plate that fits perfectly around the removed portion of our 💀. Im missing most of my R side. Neurosurgeon then did the surgery and bolted the acrylic plate in with titatinium bolts. You don't notice mine either unless I get another Army buzz cut and you see the surgery and shrapnel scars.
I was a kid when this happened. I still remember watching the broadcast when it happened. He was in the middle of saying something when the screen went black. I knew they hit a bomb, and it wasn’t announced til the next evening
I remember this
Im reading his book “In an instant” right now but honestly I wouldn’t go back that place, seriously why going back to where you almost got killed.
Great Book 🙂👍
Bob should not be up set.. he always does what he wants... he got paid for the job and that's just tough crap.. toughen up Bob you got paid!!
20 years later, all that trauma and seeing the horrific violence in Iraq, and he still believes in the US military and the farce of a mission in Iraq lol
Wow. He got hurt really bad.
