I’m a kitchen designer in the states, I’m used to working on wealthy homes. But videos like this bring me so much joy. Every single person deserves a space that serves them functionally and aesthetically, no matter the budget or space constraints. Move the cooking table under the window and the water pots can be placed where the cooking table is kept now. Also remove the curtains under the cooking table as it can be a fire hazard
Agree the stove will just cause all the shelving and jars on the nearby shelves to catch the grease vapours so better to move it to nearer the window, great work by the way 😊

A suggestion- you should move the stove near the window, that way the vapours from cooking will not spoil the shelf behind. They will go out from the window.

I’m in the US. One of the things I’ve always complained about is my kitchen. I came looking for ways to make my kitchen more functional true, but also aesthetic and new. You’ve humbled and inspired me. I didn’t realize how ungrateful I’ve been for what I have, the damage in my old cabinets and patchy floor. I have always been pretty good at seeing things for the bones - but you’ve surpassed me and I’m grateful for your video! I can also say that you’ve given me a new appreciation for the cultural differences we have. The love and purpose is so very visible in this makeover. Thank you and God bless.

Absolutely LOVE how you didn't just make it a beige kitchen but worked with different shades to give it a lively look and worked with everything already available. With a small budget you managed to completely transform the place. Love the little diy plate I'm sure your grandma felt very loved, what a sweet family.

I thought you will convert your grandma's kitchen into a modular kitchen,but it is heartening to see,that keeping in mind your grandma's sentiments, you've reused and recycled everything, making them functional again,using your DIY talent. The transformation was really magical! Loved the colour theme and the pop of green…and that other table was so nicely renovated, you can literally sell it on the market, it’s that good. This is the first interior video where I’ve seen the use of floor mat, it really was a major change 😍 Loved how resourceful you were! Also your narration was so good, it was a 20min vid and I’d watched every second of it, but your script was so good that I couldn’t know where those 20mins went. Also your accent, the pace everything just made the video so much more entertaining ❤

It's a nice transformation you have done in budget and given the amount of time. One suggestion I would give is that always choose to be practical over aesthetics. The cook top/burner should have been positioned in front of the window for ventilation and other things could be re-arranged taking that as the base. The current position will only ruin the white painted shelf very soon. Also, try to keep the access ways clear of any furniture.

This took me back to my great grandmother's house... Her house was later demolished by her son... I wish I was big enough to make such decisions and had more accessibility.. my grandmother would have loved to see her mother's house like this... God bless their souls... This is what a normal middle class kitchen looks like

Its always about abrand new modular kitchen. This video was heartening as everyone in the family got together to workout and change the traditional old kitchen which now looks aerated , cheerful , functional , and still maintaining its traditional Indian charm. One minor suggestion. You could keep the stove beside the fridge instead of where it is placed right now. Two reasons
1) first the grease would be tougher to clean from that multi level rack
2) the person who would be cooking would be blocking the way between two doors

Yes same thought . It is an unbelievable makeover .I knew that there would be some major reason for keeping the stove there otherwise Rizwana could have kept it somewhere else. But it would look more beautiful in the place where you kept the table with a mixer . I think .But awesome makeover.👏👏👏

I live on very less n i loved the makeover done with efficient cost. Also aesthetically, very amazing ideas, esp brick wall design. Loved the white, blue, grey combo with splashes of green. We all moved and sold that old house, and she has passed away, so we won't get to see that place anymore except in pictures. I love that you transformed her kitchen for her.

I LOVED THE VIDEO SO MUCH! you are amazing! just a suggestion that the placement of stove should be near window as it will give more space in shelf to keep things, will not ruin the shelf while cooking, and will not create a hustle for more people entering in the kitchen, window will also work as a chimney:)
Hi, I am so glad u liked my work.. thank you so much 😊 but the place u suggested for stove is good only but the backside room is like a store room and because of this house’s architecture, the one cooking there near the window or boiler area would feel detached from the rest of the house and people 😅 that’s y I had to keep it there in front of the door so that my aunt who’s living here after my grandma passed away, can cook while talking to other family members or she ll be able to see what’s happening in the home or else if she cooks in that corner she would know nothing what’s happening behind her in the house and the house is too old that we can’t keep the doors closed and also many other aunts and cousins keep on visiting my grandmas house as we all live nearby..

It looks lovely❤️ hope your grandparents are happy. Just a quick thing, the blue curtains below the stove is a fire hazard. So make sure to tie the fabric with the table leg so that it stays in the same place even when there is a heavy wind.
