This Couple impacted my life with their songs . How I learned scripture through singing over in my mind 😊 Now in the light of what’s happening in Israel , I was searching for the song’ summon your power oh Lord’ This wonderful interview popped up ! So thrilled to find. Love your hearts❤️❤️
Dave & Dale, your songs along with the 1970s revival has changed my life forever and like nothing else. This was after arriving in NZ in 1970. Like you said it has taught me to talk/sing to my Lord not just about Him. Praise God for you two
For me, the scriptures in song helped me memorize the Word and even to this day the song comes to heart when the Lord is directing me with scripture - thank you so much for your obedience - you grew me Bless you beyond measure 💖💖💖
What a blessed couple. How beautiful are the feet of those who do the Will of God. I have been singing these worship songs all these years and this is the first time I have seen the people who actually wrote these songs. He is actually a worshipper like King David, and he has the same same. Dale is so sweet and seem like a humble woman. How they have so much energy in the age that there are in. I can see the joy of the LORD in their lives. May God continue to bless you as you continue to lead people into worshipping the God of all nations. Thank you for the gift given to us all.
Shalom! Listening from South Africa. Dale and Dave were the worship leaders at YWAM in Dunham, Canada, during the Olympic Games in Montreal, 1976. When I returned to South Africa I bought some of their records - still have them. I just love the way they’ed put Scripture to song. It really built my faith and I still experience the Word working in my life, for I love singing the songs - it’s really awesome to sing God’s Word back to Him. God richly bless both of them.
David & Dale Garratt have been awarded the CNZM in the New Year's Honours List, for their work in Christian music. Scripture in Song has been part of my life the whole 50+ years, a very effective way of memorising the Scriptures.
It’s wonderful to see these two. Their songs still pop into my head from time to time-some I didn’t know they wrote. Best times of worship ever at YWAM / U of N in Kailua-Kona. It was also good to hear Dave and Dale talk about their daughter Rachel. We were in the same Discipleship Training School in 1986 and in the same DTS outreach teams. I distinctly remember Rachel and two other girls singing and harmonizing on the song Dale mentioned as being special to her. Beautiful. Rachel was like none other that I’ve ever met. Unforgettable.
I really loved the Combat Tape - songs taken straight from scripture which included the scripture reference - " I have given you authority over all the enemy's power... and nothing shall in any way do you harm LUKE 10, 19!!" AWESOME way to learn scripture.
Thanks for Scripture in Song. Very inspiring! I'm also "Dale Garratt", in this case a man. Can you tell me, David, if you are related to the Garratt family that survived the 1900 Hurricane in Galveston, Texas?
I came to Jesus in 1975 and I learnt the scriptures from your records. I still sing them. I praise God for you both❤️

That's Texas, USA. I've traced my Garratt lineage back to the UK. It's a pretty rare spelling and Dale isn't a very common first name.
Not the original music
