The Gary Ridgeway thing is pretty crazy. He had a pimp/boyfriend of one of his victims tail him and point him out to police as a suspect around 1981 or 1982. He was interviewed at least twice at his place of work as a truck painter and his co-works called him 'GR Gary' No idea if they suspected him or not, but can you imagine? Plus having the same initials as your serial killer moniker is just uncanny. Pretty sure he was arrested for solicitation, not prostitution though.
A large part of why Dahmer got away with it for so long was because he was targeting gay men, and the authorities didn't care about gay men dying. Not even when some of his victims were still underage. One poor victim had had head wounds and got away; the police returned him to Dahmer.
True. And the people who were suspicious of him and were alert were ignored bc they were black. It's disgusting and makes me angry every time how many of his victims could be alive if police wasn't that ignorant.
Yep and the apartment he lived in was in the "black" part of town and the majority of his victims were minorities of some sort of top of being gay. They seriously just did not care.
The way Karla played the judicial system was foul. She knew there was a tape of more than one assault. One of them being her helping Paul assault her own sister. And only told her lawyer where the tape was after her plea deal went through. Disgusting
@DirkDiggler1620 she played the system well, got the plea deal by not divulging what she did. I thought her lawyer knew about the tapes. That movie made about them portrayed her as a victim, she was an active participant. She is just as evil as Paul. Can't believe she she is out. Having kids, volunteering at her kids school like nothing happened.

That’s why we have serial killers. It may not seem like it but they are rare and it’s because of things like this where all things line up perfectly including police not doing their jobs. When they do their jobs people are caught and don’t have a chance to go on killing.
Right like for instance SOO much of the Dahmer situation coulda been avoided had cops not been neglectful to signs, not to mention the countless missing people cases that could be solved/saved

When he came by to pick her up for their date, her dad (my friend’s grandpa) opened the door, took one look at him and then slammed the door shut, saying to the aunt “He’s bad news.” Years later, the aunt picked up a newspaper and the guy’s picture was on the front page as he had just been sentenced to death. His name? Ted Bundy.

As a Canadian I'd make a case that Robert Pickton was more notorious than Paul. Although his ex wife should still be in jail she's released now and has money to get by. Some people who are monsters just get away 😢🙄😑. Also they could've saved 4 people if the cops and FBI listened 5o Glenda at first hand 😑
