Thank you for your time and videos. Your instructions are so helpful to me to be able to make headwear for myself and family. Your patterns have fit the best out of all that I tried. ❤
As a new sewist, some time last summer, I picked up one of the smaller magnets to help me keep my seams straight, one like the smaller one that comes in the set, and it was kind of helpful, but not helpful enough. There was a little too much room for fabric to get underneath the edge, and it didn't always stay put. After I found your channel, and saw the one you used, it seemed much better, so I bought one of those, and it was a game changer, especially when I decided to challenge myself by making your Rosie cap. I saw the upgrade version on amazon not long ago, and wondered if it would be worth getting at some point. It was nice to see that you'd done a video on it!
Thank you for your lovely comment. Even this long time sewer learns something new everytime I make something so welcome to this rewarding and sometimes challenging skill that will definitely bring you many rewards!! I have a new video I am just finishing up about a simple head bandana and napkins that are perfect for polishing your improving sewing skills and using the magnet to help!!! Should be out tomorrow or Sunday! Thanks again, Tori
I have the smallest one as well as the one with the ruler. It helps so much with keeping seams straight. I didn’t know about using the curved edge though, thank you for the tip!
Thank you for demonstrating I have all of them. Now I know what I was doing wrong oh I didn’t realize that the one with the clips are different. I have to pull them out and see the difference
Yes some have sort of blocked that long side I have know and love from years of using one without this new clip! I hear ya, I have been looking at these for a few weeks reluctant to learn how to use them but I will continue to learn and use them in new ways in upcoming videos! Thanks so much for watching, Tori
If you are working with heavier fabrics like canvas or thick fabrics like fleece the bigger magnets are great ... i never use my smaller ones anymore although I use the long narrow one with the lifter piece on the top for my janome machine. Considering how well they work to keep your seams accurate, they are really one of the big deals as far as sewing tools go!! I will do a video about my favorite tools, most used tools, under $20. Now that I think of it, there are a few!!
I have to be very careful where I put a magnetic seam guide. I found that the magnet lifts my bobbin case enough to interfere with stitching. Still mad for Mad Cap Hats.
You are entered to possibly win one now!! The ruler just comes with the set by Jonnick. I love the long side not being obstructed as well so you can use the clip and the long side. Hopefully there will be more choices like this soon!! Tori
Leave us a comment for a chance to win one of two of the new magnetic seam guides and seam ruler packages!! Thanks so much for watching! Tori

I have the tiny magnetic guide, but I'm considering the new & improved magnetic guide. Thanks for all the info.
