Wow! We are excited to see the artist reactions - this is pure gold and we are so happy to optimize the studio workflow for producers and artists:) The main goal is saving time and enhancing sound quality. Thank you ever so much for this video, Alex ☺.
That unit looks awesome! As you were saying it, I was asking myself why I have never thought about the sides and mids having monitoring capability on a controller before, lol. You could solve the A/B monitoring issue by inserting a passive A/B monitor controller, like one from Heritage Audio, into the signal path between your monitors and DAW. You could also use a small inexpensive, but clean, Yamaha mixer as a sub mix to resolve any routing issues, balance issues etc as the MGXU series has clean pre's and sends if you want to add any mics or just use it as a routing utensil. Also, instead of extending the unit itself to the artist, you could just pick up an inexpensive headphone amp for less than a hundred bucks with 4 stereo headphone outs and use a long balanced TRS cable instead. That way, you still have full control & the artist can adjust their volume, plus there's a bonus of 3 additional headphone outs (same mix). Winner all the way around! I did that years ago and have been doing it ever since. It's simple and gets the job done. Keep up the goodness with the videos! Cheers ~
@@Jeremy_Kinsey such an awesome comment 🙌. So many great solutions. The passive switcher is a fantastic idea aswell as extending with an amp. Thankyou & thankyou I will do!
I don’t think they missed it by accident but it was more of the size and compact factor. It would have had to of been a rack mount to include all the additional of talk back. Only so much space in this Qube chassis. And it would have mean XLR mic input on the back where as the options they have chosen on the back currently are much better (in particular the pass through option and XLR speaker options). It’s really for people who have project studios without the vocal booth. Most people who have a vocal proof usually have a desk or a proper monitoring solution that cost x2 as much ❤
The monitor features are my favourite part and headphone amp quality. But the headphone mix is one I can’t live without now I have it. If you don’t track vocals then it doesn’t make much sense to own. But it’s still a great monitor solution although a little pricey if your not going to use all the features 👌
@@WhoIsAlexElliott I know how to track vocals to a certain extent but its not something I do all that much these days, and in the past it was a amateur deal.
Yep a cheaper version of my Grace m905 with some added headphone goodies. It just missing D/A converter. It’s not a bad unit at all, great for home project studio setups. I have to use a Behringer MA400 Monitor Headphone at my headphone stand to give my artists full headphone and vocal level control. You can also attach it to a Mic stand with a phone mount.. easy😊.
I love your channel. I learn something new every time, and I love the sheer joy you have creating and sharing your work.

I'm looking into this piece, Elysia missed the talkback option.
Good review, by the way.

Looks very interesting, I can sing but I'm not a singer, I like the design of the device.

It’s really awesome and a bargain for what it offers. Cause the grace is the best at what it does but also is around £3-4K 😅
@@WhoIsAlexElliott100% agree. But don’t underestimate the MA 400 for artist control.. it’s about 35 pounds and works a treat.
@@AOEarlobeI’ll check it out for sure!
