This video is a part of the longest journey I have ever taken till date in a single train.
Presenting you a Journey from the last point of southern India KANNIYAKUMARI to the Holy place of KATRA in Jammu & Kashmir in the legendary HIMSAGAR EXPRESS covering a total distance of 3789 kms
This is the 6th and last part of the marathon journey where you will see the journey from H.Nizamuddin in delhi to the destination of this train, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi katra station

I am feeling amazed that A single loco pulled the train straight 3000+ kms without any problem WAP4 💪🏻❤
That's the benefit of electric traction motor system, be it for diesel locomotives, or for electric locomotives. These things can last for lakhs of kilometers before needing major servicing, and because they spin at fixed levels of RPMs, these things don't cause mechanical breakdowns.
If it was a diesel-mechanical loco, like those diesel-hydraulic locos used in old meter gauge days (1960s-1980s), the thing would have been much more fragile and prone to breakdowns.

This is one of the best IR videos I’ve seen. Simply amazing, the scale, diversity, and beauty of India. The train needed a wash pretty badly at the start itself, (considering Independence Day travel and all) but the old rake and the reliable old girl WAP-4 made it all the way across the country! ❤
You have much more patience and courage than me, traveling for 4 days without a shower, and at the mercy of your friends for meals. However, I can sit on my couch and enjoy the scenery vicariously. 😊

If this train is in old blue coach, it will give beauty, classic and will looks clean. It's a utkrisht coaches so it easily catches more dirty😮💨🤧😢

52:55 That's an incredibly large truss, with a lot of crossbracing going on inside it. I think that the engineers wanted to extend the beam length to the maximum possible to reduce the number of pillars needed, and designed the largest possible truss bridge for that gap. At least, that's my theory. It's always interesting to see the different designs that engineers explore while constructing bridges.
