duuuude! this is such a sick cover! you're such an awesome drummer! if its ok i had one small question about your kick technique. are you just using ankle technique or swivel? cuz it almost looks like your right foot is swiveling, but your left isn't, and it seems super cool how you can just do different techniques for both!

Yeah its crazy, didnt even recognize that it was him! He looks hella good and his playin his better and more confident too
never in my life have i seen a hh and snare this far apart, without playing openhanded. Great playing none the less
On the other hand, if you check 0:22, 2:05 and 4:28 he is indeed playing open handed.
Those are the simpler hi-hat patterns so he's maybe learning to play open handed?
he only plays the hihat open so he doesn't need to much articulation that requires less distance
also this is fucking great for metal so the hh doesn't bleed on the snare

My old hi hat stand wouldn’t fit over the left pedal properly so I had to have my hats really far away, other drummers hated playing my set up. Spent some money on new hardware and thankfully the problem is solved now.
