  • Tribute video to the one and only Luke Rohde!
I was fortunate enough to have known Luke on a professional level and personal level I can say anyone who knew him loved his character and kindness to everyone especially anyone who rode a sled or enjoyed the mountains. You will definitely be missed Buddy Thanks for all the laughs!

Just found out my nephew Dylan was your friend.. So sorry for your family's loss.. Our other nephew broke both legs on a snowmobile a few yrs ago and a friends brother is in a crevice lost forever on Mt Baker.. My son bought a Timbersled in Dec. 2016..As a Mom I worry when he goes up.. It's crucial everyone have avalanche beacons and they sell rescue life jackets.. As a parent I try to buy things for gifts for their safety.. We bought him 2 way radio's for Xmas. His friends he rides with all got the same system.. When he raced dirt bikes we got him a special neck brace cost like 700$ but was worth it. My husband seen 2 people dead on roadside in 2016 one was right before Xmas.. That person stopped at a car accident and was helping get a 11 yr old girl out of the truck and she was parked past their accident next car coming didn' t see any lights it was pouring down raining.. The wrecked vehichles lights they hit a guardrail and spun around. so their lights were busted out.. Hers was blocked by the wrecked one and she left the door open after getting the girl out.. so it blocked any light from her car.. She was struck by the next car and she was ripped out of the little girls hands.. She was taking her to her vehicle get out of the rain.. So sad .. So for Xmas I bought like 23 emergency vehichle bags and flares and triangles. I gave them to family members.. Put one in each of our cars and bought 1 for each of my boys cars.. They are inexpensive.. Good white elephant gifts or something under 20-30$ My nieces boyfriend got his car stuck in the snow on a hill with no emergency lanes.. My son went to pull them out and had to use the flares because it was on a dangerous blind corner.. That was New Years Eve So they came in handy.. I know these guys play hard and don't realize they are invinceable.. So as a parent i'm always thinking safety.. Even though my son broke his femur bone on his motorcycle on our track on frozen ground at home.. And a wreck before that in Redmond Ore.. He cased it on a double and flew through the air and got a lung and abdomen contusion.. A few years ago. So please think safety and help those in need get safety gear... Watch weather reports and stay in the boundaries.. Hugs and prayers to everyone involved. Beautiful tribute to Luke.. I may have met him before at my nephews house.. So many kids and friends not sure.. Sorry for your loss.. Cordie
