  • TO MAKE A CUSTOM SIZE CHANGING PAD:
    Note: You will need to play with the math. This just gives you a general idea:
    Take the length and width of your Pad, PLUS the height of your pad, PLUS however much you want it to tuck under (you prob want it to tuck under a few inches). Cut a large rectangle of fabric those dimensions (with all those added lengths). Then you need to cut 4 squares from the corners that are the height of your pad PLUS however much you want the towel to tuck under/around the pad. For instance, in my project, the pad is 5 inches tall, so I cut out the squares 7x7 inches.
    Just experiment and see how it goes!
    Make sure you always stay by your baby while changing their diaper!

    I just made one using your method, with the enclosed casing!! I’m in love!!! I did a matching crib sheet! It was so easy! And fast!! I did both in no time!! Going to embroider on it, and give as a gift! Thank you for the videos! I wish I could post a picture

      I’m going to make it with the enclosed casing for the elastic as well. I don’t like stitching on the elastic. Did you change the measurements at all, or does it still fit? Thanks!

    I just used these directions to make 5 changing pad covers for a granddaughter who is due today! Your directions were very clear and easy! and fit perfectly. I chose to use flannel for the covers and I really liked how you did the elastic for such a perfect fit. Thank you!

    This is awesome! I am planning my twins nursery. I can't believe how much the pad covers cost around $15 bucks, especially when we need several covers. These look so simple to make that I can knock out a few in an afternoon. I love the look of the minky covers, but your right about the towel being more absorbent. It will wash up easier too. I have a serger, so I will use that for finishing off the edges I cut. Will it work on to serge the corner to corner part as well? Thank you for this video! I'll be working on some of these very soon!

      The concept is the same for any size pad, you'll just have to figure out the math of how many inches you need to "fold under" the pad, so you know how big to cut your squares on each side.

    • @MADEEveryday
      @MADEEveryday  Рік тому

      Hi there. I can't remember the exact dimensions of my changing pad since this was 7 years ago. Arg. Sorry! But in the description, there's some info for how to make a custom size changing pad. Hopefully this helps....
      TO MAKE A CUSTOMIZED CHANGING PAD COVER:
      You will need to play with the math.

    • @jeremyandannadamiano4987
      @jeremyandannadamiano4987 5 років тому

      It should work with a changing pad that size. The 46" will go down the sides and under the bottom, too, and having elastic on the bottom edge makes it almost one size fits all 🙂
