The Electro Swing/Gypsy Jazz debut was probably one the most prime examples I've heard of the genre being used in K-Pop, with an appropriate MV to boot. Reminded me of the h u g e phase I had back in high school haha The 2-step UKG venture with Glitch was something I didn't expect though, but damn was it a power move. I can't think of any other song in K-Pop leaning heavily into Garage riffs as much as Glitch did. Maybe you can hear a little bit f(x)'s 4 Walls? But yeah, it's become one of the biggest mainstays in my playlists this year. 2nd verse onwards, even the visuals were almost reminiscent of the music videos I remember watching growing up in the UK from the early 2000s A big bonus that she's IRL besties with Dreamcatcher ever since her IZ*ONE days 👌🏼

She has other song called Esper (which I absolutely recommend) but I think it was just a single. Yeah, Glich is definitely more polish than Door, though both are good. For me Glich is on the top of the title tracks I've heard so far this year along with INVU from Taeyeon and Honey from Solar
I'm so glad you decided to check her out, she really has some amazing b-sides as well (magnetic, blue eyes are the best imo). She was my bias in IZ*ONE and really was amazing throughout PRoduce48 if you ever do decide to check it out.
I definitely recommend at some point just going back and listening to some IZ*ONE music. While I'm hella biased in stating this but they def have one of my favourite discographies in Kpop. While I'm always a bit sad that no more songs will be made under the name "IZ*ONE" their existing discography is incredible and with every Korean comeback I always had their albums on repeat. Many of their members have gone out and made great music as well post-disband and it's def a group I feel you'd like. If you ever get around to doing that GP999 stage marathon you mentioned you'll listen to their version for "Fiesta" which is one of my favourite title tracks, and part of my favourite album of all time. Oh and by the way, don't ask how I can remember this, you once checked out a Weeekly dance cover medley way back when and one of the songs was Secret story of the Swan by IZ*ONE and from what you heard you seemed to enjoy it so that'd be a good place to start if you ever want to check more of their stuff!

I personally wasn't the BIGGEST fan of "Glitch" it just sounds so off putting to me. I prefer "Door" and "Esper". Only part of "Glitch" that I liked was the Pre-Chorus. But I'd prefer stream the other 2.

I liked Eunbi in Produce48 but didn't particularly care for Door but when Glitch came... it was for the girls and gays so of course I loved it!
ChungHa and Sunmi really delivered the "for the girls and gays" concept we need more soloist doing that concept for us!
