Cheap & Cheerful is all you can say about this place, I like alittle more comfort myself- some people aren’t bothered where they stay I guess
Its clean enough. Just needs a bit of an update
"Pictures of Britain to remind you how much you don't want to come back" 😂😂😂
Yes i laughed at that myself when i said it. I know you shouldnt laugh at your own jokes. But.....
I wouldnt describe it as a "best kept secret" , most pattaya visitors are familiar with this place
Im sure if you have been to Pattaya a number of times alot of hotels would become familiar. But for someone coming for the first time it might be a good option
Good vid mate! Was that safe in the room bolted down? Just to be sure! Lols
Thank you for your comment. Never had a problem in Thailand with anything going misiing and to be honest never have i used the safe.
It's run down but cheap the food is just ok
Tbank you for your comment. There is so many places to eat around that area that we never have eaten at the Opey de Place
I have been staying here for years. Its all about the location and the pool. The Thai food is also decent.
I genuinely like it. Thanks for your comments and hope you keep watching the channel
Room over looking pool better too noisy on front
Its fine if you are out late at night
Yes seems a good run of the mill place, not far from the action!!...and cheap enough. I've been coming to Pattaya for 30 years on/off now. Never had a problem with cheaper hotels. For those who want luxury...north Pattaya 4000+ baht a night well out of the action 🤣🤣🤣.(Lowe de khun).
It really is true that often thise oaying more miss the best bits. In Agra i datyed many times in a hotel that was £5 per night. True it was quite scruffy, but itbwas right next to tge Taj Mahal. You could even sleep on the roof and watch the sunset come up over the Taj. The lucury, expensive hotels were not even in view of the Taj and had no view of the Taj. Cheaper places can often be more quirky, fun and are run by families that care. I love the Opey de Place personally
The rooms at pool level are far more convenient and quiet but more expensive. I walked down towards the beach to Areca Lodge to pay 200 to use huge pool and enjoy buffet breakfast
Thank you for your comment. Areca lodge looks very nice. I understand for golfers they do a special deal. We are not golf players, but we must try it sometime. I believe it is alot more expensive than Opey de Place

I made the mistake of staying there. The room actually vibrated from the a/c compressor out on the balcony. Lovely small room but badly designed environmentally. The pool and the large buffet were the best parts…
I stayed there and it was good. That balcony rail is way too low though. Did you try the food ordered by the pool?
Had some food, which was ok but have so many options in that area that we ate out mainly. Totally agree about the balcony although i liked seeing over it easily, i could see it being dodgy for someone who was drunk or young kids.
Good location , very basic needs more than an update .
They wouldn't put boat people in there
Thank you fkr your comment and watching our video
I spent 2 months there a few years back and about $1,000.00 a month, I wouldn't say cheap. But I also went back a few months later and stayed another month. So I didn't mind it that much
it's perfectly usable and I like it. Especially the pool
Nothing specific stayed there myself definitely no hot water good position for night life but definitely not worth the price.. I stayed a month ago was annoyed no hot water and average rooms we'll worn
We were lucky and had plentiful supplies of hot water.. Maybe that one room had a problem. I hope you enjoyed your holiday anyway
@@hiddenworldjohnandindie8293 Room was balcony room and shower and hot water were nil.. As for hotel room and price around 1000 Bhatt I payed average hotel.. Put it this way been back a few times in the area never stayed there again and reception staff were very off it very unpleasant looks.
Not for me, better hotels to be had at a similar price, 3/5
Perhaps you could post details of these hotels on here for the interest of viewers and we could then go and review these places. Thabk you for your comment
Just take a look on Booking or Agodo
Try NOVA GOLD HOTEL & CITY CENTRE RESIDENCE, both central Pattaya, around £20 /night for a 1 week stay
@@keithredshaw3330 we will give them a try and do a review next time we are there.. Thank you we appreciate it and thank you alsonfor watching
They are both in rubbish locations. @@keithredshaw3330
Good location but in need of renovation and be prepared to get eaten alive buy the pool with all that greenery
Thank you for your comment. You are right the location is fantastic, but I have never found insects around the pool to be any problem at all. In most off Thailand mosquitos only seem to be a problem for about 30 mins to an hour around the time of dusk
Used to stay there but got fed up getting bitten also the showers are crap
I had a major nervous breakdown while staying there.
Sorry to hear that. How come?.
@@hiddenworldjohnandindie8293 I was upset about a few things at the time but the hotel was fine. I liked the pool and the food served there. I decided to check out and recover at Sea Lodge hotel in North Pattaya.
Are you serious?
Serious in what way?
Its a dire kip .Be honest .
Actually we didnt go to bed before until 2am moat nights so hardly noticed the noise. The back rooms are well away from the street so woukd be better, but i enjoyed sitting on the balcony with the son going down watching the scenes below.
