Come with me for a walk around what's considered one of the most dangerous streets in Christchurch. I've walked from the full length of the street and to be honest it was pretty chill. One guy said he'd give me a whack and I immediately thought of this: • New Zealand Today - Ka...
Another kid gentleman offered to sell me some local wares, but sadly I had to decline. He was super friendly though, actually most of the locals were really friendly :D

Nothing has ever happened to me on Stanmore.
yeah neither.. the worst that usually happens is someone asks you for change, or a smoke..
That guy on the bike is always hanging around Stanmore, he goes around everybody at NPD asking for change while they're filling up.

We lived in an old 2 storey brick house that we owned at 466 Gloucester st back in the early 1970s. The mongrel mob lived across the road from us and usually didn't create any problems but one night the Epitaph riders came and attacked them and a couple of bullets flew. Then everything settled down again after the police moved everyone on. It went back to being orderly again. We liked living near Stanmore Road there were a few shops and a supermarket and library.
Yeah it’s pretty chill most of the time, the food places are cheapish too

Lived around this area for 6 or 7 years pre earthquake. It is like a satelite community just beside the ChCh CBD. Never new the place existed untill I moved there. Rather tatty & low socio-economic but there was everything I needed there. Life was good. The CBD & night life was close & the Port Hills for a bit of recreation. Interesting to see so much extra green space from the quakes.
Yeah the green space around the east side is really nice.. I've got a red zone video of the area on the channel! the blackbirds around here are massive

THE only thing I saw that was dangerous was the pot holes in the parking area outside the shop , scratching my head.

The grey building at 20.50 is an art gallery I used to do markets at. They still do markets there. Should check it out one day

I have heard of stanmore rd before wasn't there a historical murder either someone was murdered on that street or taken from that rd
