Makes me cry..I bought his drumming shoes back in the early 90’s as a kid when you think that equipment will make you play better lol.. his music is such a huge part of my life ..thank you Mr Weckl
The psychopaths have said that covid will never be over unless everyone is injected with the highly experimental jabs. Human beings have survived so many diseases we don't even know of in history, yet Mr. Psychopath Bill Gates said so about covid.
Went to a Mike Stern concert, feat. Dave Weckl (Band on the Wall, Manchester, few years back). Overheard a 70 year old guy next to me saying to his friend "I just want to see Dave and maybe learn a thing or two".
This by far was the best Dave Weckl Band. The sound and general feel has just vanished since Buzz, Brandon, Jay aren't together with Tom and Dave...killer band!...Fan since the early '90's
Best Dave Weckl Band? Difficiult ... to me the "Dave Weckl Acoustic Band" is the best project he did. But that's up to everybody ... ;) The album is phantastic!
Oh !!! Je me souviens ... j'y étais ... super souvenir à part le son un peu fort en façade ... juste après Trilok et Manu c'était juste trop fort ... mais très bon ...
It's a bit strange, but cool, to hear this tune at a slower tempo in the beginning. I'm used to hearing the much faster tempo they play it starting at 2:05, as it's the tempo that Weckl played it at on his instructional tape. It's a crime that bassist Tom Kennedy isn't more well-known. He's a monster player (just as his brother Ray was on piano). Killer bass solo starts at 2:59.
The original 1990 recording of this song was called Tower of Inspiration, but this version is called Tower '99 which is a different arrangement. One of the differences was the half time intro. which moves into the faster tempo at 2:05
Yeah, Tom Kennedy is a monster-player! Still touring a lot with Mike Stern and Dave Weckl, also with Dave Weckl Acoustic Band in 2015. I hope Dave soon will do his next own project because that's the real stuff.
I was wondering if Tower '99 was going to sound anything like Tower of Inspiration from Weckl's first solo album. Sure enough, it did. I loved the slower tempo. I really loved the change in tempo! Thanks for posting this!
This sounds great but it does sorta make me think that this is what the original would sound like if it was drunk hahaha OH WAIT.... it's back to normal haha that's sick
Where you at/ I can handle some of this stuff. Dave and Jay are pretty much all I listen to anymore. I hear something new I never heard before, each time I listen to one of their songs. gfaegenburg@att.net and I live in the burbs of Chicago...
What is the time signature of the first bar of the A section? The one that starts after the intro? It's at 0:38, and then in-between 1:18 and 1:19. I keep counting in 4/4 and never get it right.
Jay Oliver deserves more airtime and credit.
Just amazing! I’m a Buzz fan since Fullmoon from early 70’s. It was 10-15 years ahead of it’s time.
There is no man on this earth cooler than Dave Weckl.
Makes me cry..I bought his drumming shoes back in the early 90’s as a kid when you think that equipment will make you play better lol.. his music is such a huge part of my life ..thank you Mr Weckl
i bought his bass drum mute back then for the same reason haha
Ups your skill level by at least 47% 😂
Boy is that honest or what???
scam? 😂
I will forever love Dave's Zildjian cymbals back then. They were the best
Looks like he still using the Zildjian 20" K Custom Ride?
if all humans were to play music like this every day, what a great world it would be.
Say it again Slim 📝🔒
When Corona is over, I will go to a DW concert and jump on stage. I will give this man the greatest hug ever.

Went to a Mike Stern concert, feat. Dave Weckl (Band on the Wall, Manchester, few years back). Overheard a 70 year old guy next to me saying to his friend "I just want to see Dave and maybe learn a thing or two".

It seems like Danny Carey is the flavour of the week on drums. I think Dave is the greatest drummer on earth. He moves me where the others don’t
The boys kicking it with the real deal. OH YA!!!
this is how precise it sounds on studio master recordings, first take...
To be honest, better!
This is REAL MUSIC!
Phantastic musicians, great band.
Awesome bass deepness, straight from hell!
From ... 02:59 ... to ... 03:50 ...... Excellent performance!

in the Synergy lp this is the actual structure of the song,
Bass player's face looks a bit like Han Solo from Star Wars. lol
Tom Giles I thought the same thing it’s to slow-lol

Tom Kennedy is from the outer world!!!!!
I came for the drums but stayed for that sick bass solo

Tom Kennedy the best!
Looks like a school-teacher at the wrong party, but totally owns it. Saw them live in Copenhagen in 2002 - fucking great!
...tremendo!!!
Love the drum fills 1:39 and 5:52
5:52 does it for
Paaaaaala ya muy bravos ya … bravasos !!
That snare!! SPLOOSH!!
I will have a drum room again. I will get to have fun again with my kit.
what a groove
nice playing.
Ένας και μοναδικός........!!!!!!!!
Brandon has got some serious sideburns
AMAZING MR. WECKL... Tasty as a fuck as usual...
This sounds great but it does sorta make me think that this is what the original would sound like if it was drunk hahaha OH WAIT.... it's back to normal haha that's sick
Haha yea they definitely relaxed the tempo a bit in the first part, it brought a little extra groove out of the band... Loved it
Holy crap- went to see the Rippingtons 2 years ago, & this sax player was their current sax player that night! Weird.....
Yaaahhhhhhh !!!!!!
6:37 Buzz 😂😂
God invented the drums just for Dave.
King 👑 David
Dave weckl is a good drummer.
is that one clean organ solo or what !!
Que banda x Dios
02:03 Tom Kennedy demuestra que es un ser humano jaj.
blimey!
Manitou! Manitou!
every fucking 16th note has its place precisely at tempo and in between all the others
listen carefully the bass after sax lyrics and drum fill in at 2:03. It starts out of tonality!!

Funkin' A!

I’d say Messi is the Dave Weckl of football!
Does anyone know why Brandon Fields left the band?
Wuou
how many hours of practice a day i wonder?
At least 10
Twenty-five! :D
dead notes are alive !!
wish I could see Tom's hands at 6:12
I sure hope those instruments are 18 or older.
Song might be renamed into "Power 100". 🤣
I am a pro drummer looking for players that can play this stuff. All these people talking, but nobody contacting. ARE YOU OUT THERE ????????????
Where you at/ I can handle some of this stuff. Dave and Jay are pretty much all I listen to anymore. I hear something new I never heard before, each time I listen to one of their songs. gfaegenburg@att.net and I live in the burbs of Chicago...
William st john Posting on Weckl youtube is a terrible start. Well done.
People who can play stuff aren't on youtube reading comments...

Never mind, I finally got it. It's still 4/4, but Dave displaced the first snare drum beat in the bar and that threw me off.
Who is the keyboard player?
Jay Oliver. Outstanding musician! ;)
Somebody get the guitarist a cheeseburger, immediately!!!
1:40
If God made a more perfect band he would keep it to himself.
2:04
wheres the drum solo??
Those where the zildjian days…
Credo! Taquipariu
"Taquipariu"😂
SUKHOI
