They put in a lot of effort into making the third movie, but the question is when is it coming out? I think it’s next year, but the trailer should be close to next year.

If there were to be a 4th one, the deadly six, Mephiles the Dark, Infinite, or Metal Sonic could be a possible option but as far as I know, it would be way too much money, nobody wanting to bring back “Sonic 06”, forces or even Sonic and the Lost World, so sorry to disappoint.
I can't love Sonic animations without Shadow. Although Tails was his best friend, he had better cooperations with Shadow. Same techniques, always being sync, and also they could combine and become Shadic the Hedgehog (granted in Nazo Unleashed for first time)
