Just wanted to say thanks to those of you who are checking out this video, not really a pro with these types of videos, so I appreciate everyone tuning in for a quick overview of this new pad. Thank you all for dropping a like as well! 🧡
as owner of the Firm as well and coming from the Saturn pro extra soft, the Firm feels like a better and larger option if you enjoyed the Logitech 640 which does not come in 500x500
I prefer the Saturn Pro Soft for control, but there are loads of great options in the category. The xsoft variant has a fair amount more control over the soft and I'd recommend that if you want a lot of control.
I currently have the normal Saturn and I use my whole arm to aim but I feel like the Saturn it a bit to rough would this be a good option or would the zowie gsr gris be a better option ?
Rough as in the texture? Because the Saturn surface would be the same, so the texture would be the same, it's just the base that is changing. If you want something softer, but similar, check out the LaOnda Blitz, it's a little more open/faster, but a great pad as well, very soft surface.
@@SimplyMatthias yes while my mouse glides smoothly my arm not as much can a rough texture even with a sleeve would you say the x soft Saturn pro has a softer texture would or is it the around the same ?
@@sf4938 well as mentioned above, the surface is going to be the same still, so if you find the Saturn surface to be a bit rough, you'd want to try a different pad, or try an arm sleeve. The LaOnda Blitz Soft is a nice side step from the Saturn, the surface is softer/smoother, but the pad is a little faster as I mentioned. I have that in soft, you could go with the Xsoft for the Blitz and it should be a little slower, but I haven't tested that yet.
If the base is thicker it will naturally slow down a pad as it adds a little bit more squish, not an insane difference, but with this being 1mm thinner it is actually fairly noticeable, there also isn't any squish to slow down your drag which makes for more consistency imo.
@@SimplyMatthias this pad sounds good for a controll pad for apex, hows arm sleeves on Saturn? Arm sleeves is terrible on artisan zero so Saturn might be better for me
@@SimplyMatthias yes the base, the zero mid is known to move around on your desk. I bought 1 and had to return it because of that. But you say the saturn pro is better? Or just the same as the zero mid
I’m looking at getting a Neptune but was debating between the standard or pro firm. Other than the base being more sticky is there really that much of a difference?
It's very noticeable on the neptune actually, I would highly recommend the pro version. It brings the pad to life better. The neptune is noticeably faster than the Saturn FIRM though, something to keep in mind. For PUBG I would stick with the Saturn FIRM, but if you're playing more track heavy games like Apex, COD, or BF style games, then the Neptune would be great.
I actually haven't tried jade skates on this. My primary skates are the EspTiger Tiger Ice V2's. I have some corepad as well though since I feel like those two are the most common picks amongst the majority of users.
This is exactly what you're looking for. Just a bit more open than the soft without losing so much control that you feel like you can't find control on it, it's almost like a half way point to the Neptune Pro, without being quite that fast.
It is, yep! Nice middle ground to the Neptune pro soft actually. If you end up wanting more speed/less control, the Neptune pro soft is the next best option imo.
people kept saying this pad is very similar to artisan zero, and i can say similar my ass, my mice literally feel like stuck onto the pad. this pad is literally dogshit
I much prefer it to the Zero, not sure what mouse/skates you're on, but sounds like you need to fix that if you think this pad is bad lol. Literally one of the best pads you can get, as mentioned by many reviewers and players. Soniqs just won another international LAN, all using the Saturn lol.

I think this guy might know a thing or two about mouse pads🤪
What’s your best recommended control pad?
I prefer the Saturn Pro Soft for control, but there are loads of great options in the category. The xsoft variant has a fair amount more control over the soft and I'd recommend that if you want a lot of control.

isn't the speed same on the difference bases? the speed only change how hard you press down on the pad like artisan pads?
there is nothing really to push down into on the firm, my logitech g640 is a touch softer

Is this pad firmer than the standard Saturn?
It is, yep!
Since youve used artisan pads. Does this saturn mid slide as easy as a artisan zero mid around the desk?
Like with the base? Or you mean the surface? Because the base doesn't move on my desk. Surface of the Saturn is fairly comparable to the Zero though.
@@SimplyMatthias yes the base, the zero mid is known to move around on your desk. I bought 1 and had to return it because of that. But you say the saturn pro is better? Or just the same as the zero mid
would you say the pad feels like the standard Saturn?
Better and slightly faster, but very similar to the non-pro Saturn for sure, more comparable to that than it is the soft/xsoft variants.
You said its faster than the soft, is this because there is no "push in" the pad?
Correct, the soft is 1mm thicker, and with that you get a little more control, but it also is slightly slower (not a huge difference, but it's there)

How does the static friction compare to the soft Saturn? I want something with very low initial friction for micro corrections.

this or the artisan type99? i only play cs2
I haven't tried the type 99 yet, but from what I hear it's a mud style pad, very controlled. Probably would be a solid pick for CS2 as such.
