Looking for the exact rack for my Advance Paris and Mcintosh equipment. Anyone building these at a fair price. I am on the central coast in California.

Very attractive. I appreciate the material choices.
Did you consider appropriate sized rubber or polyurethane casters? I would think they would make it easier to clean behind?

Thank you! I did think about casters but I didn’t want to see the wheels below. I opted for some furniture sliding pads instead. Thanks for watching 👍

My favorite audio rack has always been a striped upright piano. Pull the top and bottom facings and the entire key assembly. If a speaker touches the piano, you need to dampen the strings.

As a vintage gear collector myself, you have a nice set up. Your neighbor is a kind kind man! His work is fantastic. You should be on AudioKarma if you’re not already.

Thank you so much for taking the time to create and post this video. Coincidently, I've begun a very similar build using the same butcher block countertop materials; however, with 2.5 x 2.5 inch oak legs. Your video really helped me visualize the end product. How did you smooth out the edges of the shelves and legs; e.g. sandpaper, router? Great job and thanks again!

Good to hear you found the video useful. Not the most exciting vid with tons of step-by-step detail but gets the point across.
We did use a router bit along the top front edge of each shelf and along the edges of the legs. You could just use sandpaper.
I surely hope you can share your completed stereo rack when you’re all done! Best to you and thanks for your nice comments👍👍

Good job! Nothing like wood expertly done. Nice gear as well.
I would strongly recommend though you try other interconnect cables. Try van den hul or analysis plus in the 200-400 range. Let your VPI sing.

Thanks for watching and commenting Bobby👍👍 I should be receiving a Lounge Copla SUT in the next few weeks. I’ll check out your interconnect recommendations. Happy holidays!

Very nice rack and very nice job. Although I really cringed when he crosscut the shelves agains the rip fence. That is a procedure that is generally considered to be unsafe. If I missed an offset block and the miter gauge I apologize. Very nice job. You also have some spectacular components.

      Hey Tom,
As a former Industrial Arts teacher you are absolutely right about the crosscut of the shelves. I don’t remember an offset block. I didn’t say anything since it wasn’t my shop.
Thanks for your nice comments! PS, I’ve bought more gear since then😳

Your sand paper grits were very high. Aiming to about 1200 for the finish would be better.
100 at the start is way too coarse
