This back to basic series has been awesome. Going through the process of reviewing all these details took me one step forward. Sometimes one tends to associate basic with concepts like entry level, easy or things like that, but it’s not. In my own experience, I think that coming back to this, or any other exercise for that matter, from time to time with a new perspective after having learnt and grow, put them at a new level, where you find them challenging and complex again but getting also a deeper understanding. Anyway, all that to say thanks, good work, this is good stuff and I’m happy to have come across it.

The arms position and footwork reminds me of Wing Chun.
They are similar. This is a defensive posture. Many variations of this across many martial arts as well.
