  • In this video I teach you how to quote a vinyl wrap. There are a lot of little details involved when it comes to pricing out a wrap and with that being said they can't all be the same price. This video talks about the major details of what to look for when quoting a car wrap and how to go about quoting when you move on to other projects.
For full detailed videos in 4K on how to wrap this Lexus IS350 subscribe to my website www.ckwraps.com where I'm giving away one free month to new subscribers. The new camera glasses which show you every little detail when I'm wrapping will take you to places no other wrapper has shown before.

CK, people don't understand the headache of wrapping and disassembly of these vehicles. They think it's so easy and should be cheap! Only people that wrap know how hard it can be ! Keep pushing brother.

Love love love this video, I'm gonna keep it close so I can show some of our clients when explaining why a yellow wrap is more expensive than a black one as most of them just don't understand... We just did an Indigo blue on a red Taycan, removing doors and a million other pieces and the hours of labor that go into it is just incredible. Keep up the great work CK !!

Hey love the videos and I’ve already learned so much. Ive started small first by offering roof wraps and chrome deletes until I’m comfortable doing full vehicle wraps. Here’s something I’ve struggled with , hope you can help !
What’s a good resource to see how much material I will need for specific vehicles ? For example someone reached out asking for a roof wrap, mirror wrap and chrome trim delete on windows and grill but I’m having trouble finding the measurements to see how much material will be needed. Any help is appreciated!

Good PPF installers will wrap every edge. PPF material is also less compliant to work with.
I love your content, and believe you believe everything you say is the truth. That said it's obvious that at the time you made this video you have never done a PPF installation near the same quaility as your wrap installations. Otherwise, you wouldn't say they have it easy. Yes, PPF installers don't have to worry about a color change so they rarely need to take the doors off, but they're often do jams, handles, and the same amount of disassembly vinyl guys typically do. PPF is also much more likely to show every imperfection, every/any spec of dust, fingerprints, etc. Vinyl is quite a bit more forgiving in that sense.
That said, sure, if you get a PPF installation that's just cut from a standard pattern and dosen't wrap the edges, and dosen't worry about working clean, sure they have it MUCH easier, and you got a crappy installation .

Hey CK, I had a question on wraps versus paint. First of all I just bought a 2009 metallic black Porsche 911 997.2 and it had only 7,600 miles so incredible condition inside and out and want to protect. You know how beautiful a car looks when it has been washed and waxed and the metallic paint is shinny and gleaming??? I just wonder if a wrap would make look dull in comparison 🤷🏻‍♂️. That’s my concern. Thanks Christian...✌🏼

Hardest thing to get comfortable with is the cracks and pops when pulling panels……they take some good quick force. Only time of trouble is much older vehicles due to aged plastic where tabs and such break much easier. Not much to do with aged plastics….no way around it.

The best quality paint jobs are $30,000+ for a full car and this is not for super cars but for normal cars. I can paint a car for $2,000 no problem and I don't even need experience to do it. I can also do it for $500 or $50 each one become less quality. The point is, a good $20,000 paint job is more in the same spectrum as a good $4,000 wrap. @@dontbestupid6664 I feel this is true. Perhaps 50 years ago, and back, paint applied by a body shop could be relied upon over the long term, but that just doesn't seem to be the case now. Usually far better to keep the factory paint - as it will adhere and be the strongest over the years - then wrap over it. I suspect that part of the problem with painting these days is that the paint itself isn't great, but also that there are such complex reactions between existing paint and whatever product line(s) the painter would choose to use.
