Thank you Ian. I love the glimpses of the countryside you give us. All some of us may ever see of your country. The area around your farm is just beautiful.
That was a fantastic view of your farm and surrounding countryside especially above the clouds, and the lovely piece of music by greig thank you for brightening my morning.
That was…stunning. Great choice of music. The scenery was truly lovely. I found it quite interesting to see the frost on the ground only in the shadows of the trees.
Lying in bed in lock down recovering from a bad trip to the dentist (feeling sorry for my self) have played this vlog 4times in a roe cheered me up its so beautiful. Tks a mill from ireland
What a great vid and a nice way to appreciate all the beautiful countryside you have instead of houses being built on any countryside we had. You’ve really got the hang of the drone now nice bit of camera work 👍
Looks a lovely English town to live close by. Though was wondering if you know there are so many pubs in the town, have you visited them all ? Suppose back in your youth being a Young Farmer that's what you did at weekends. And late walks up that hill with the young ladies . Stay safe in these difficult times.
In my youth I was a member of 18 plus ... did a lot of pub crawls and UFO spotting on the Malvern Hills at 12am. Now I dont enjoy beer only cider and that's only once in a while .
Absolutely beautiful view from up there you picked a perfect time with the clouds and fog in the morning I think I will try doing a search of the history of the town and surrounding area
I've never had the time when I've called to walk up to the hill but I have stopped to look around Lord Somerset's Monument just past Hawkesbury. A magnificent monument, easily accessible, and to me a sign that I'm almost at your farm. Both Wotton Hill and the Tyndale Monument are on my "Bucket List" of places to visit the next time I'm heading up Gloucester way 🙂
There is a path going right through the Westridge woods between Wotton hill and Nibley monument, it’s very popular with walkers... The walk is level and easy, finding a parking space now, not so much. 👍😄
Passed by at the end of October on the motorway heading for Devon think I spotted the new grain store. Might have to get off the motorway next time for a walk.
Ian you have a good control of that Mavic as always, Nice view will have try flying up there when I'm brave enough to fly away more than 500m😄. I uploaded a video when it was mist and ice at Clifton downs Bristol few days ago.
💓I’ve really missed the cotswolds this year💓It’s my relax & unwind time visiting my family there💓London is becoming to busy even under lockdown it’s busy💓
Lovely video Ian and what a great piece of music,I used to travel down to Wotton every week for about ten years when I manage the amenity land for GCC but never got to go to the top of Wotton hill.Must put it on my bucket list.
Good evening mr p, That is just a great video of the surrounding area, Is that part wheelchair friendly as I wouldn’t be able to walk that far. Loved all your other videos as I said before I do watch them all. Well as always take care and stay safe.🌈🌈.
@@fredharrowven4954 You would be ok for the path to the monument Fred, but there’s a kissing gate to go through for the Wotton hill access. Lots of folks walk their dogs up there so be prepared to wash your wheels off when you get back to your car.
Great views hoping to make a visit had plans on going to Black country and Bliss Hill museums then down to Exeter this year and would have made the detour to Wotton but hay ho perhaps next year keep well
Lovely place gloustershire wouldnt mind working there There is a farming simulator map called oakfield farm based around coberley and seven springs and from what i can see on google maps its pretty accurate
That was lovely with a great choice of classical music but now I am even more depressed at being stuck in this dump of a town I live in on day 250 of my lockdown and now we been stuck into tier 3.
I’m sorry Shaz, it wasn’t my intention to depress anybody.... 2020 is almost done now, I think there is a light towards the end of 2021 though. Stay safe.
Is a stone wall Matthew, it’s a permanent marker for the spot and keeps the livestock away from the trees. Hundreds of years ago the hill was used for beacon fires as well.
It’s our old beacon site, there is a plaque on the iron gate into it, but as much as anything it keeps the livestock out and I think enhances the feature. 🙂

Thank you Ian. I love the glimpses of the countryside you give us. All some of us may ever see of your country. The area around your farm is just beautiful.

Never been much of a drinker Martyn. And why climb a hill when you have a hay barn... 😄👍

Plenty of History, make sure you include the Berkeley family and castle, plus the battle of Nibley green.

We are lucky to get some great views in our area. The mushroom type cloud in the video is steam from Sea Bank Powers station down on the River Severn.
Stunning pics with a great soundtrack
Stunning views. A lovely part of the country I would like to visit some day.
I've only ever been up Wooton hill a couple of times, I really must visit again.

Or the Black horse in North Nibley 😄👍
Farmer P never tried that one Ian so we will give it ago once out of the COVID crap.

It’s about 3.5 mile round trip, or you can detour down to the New inn at Waterly bottom... A bit of a local secret 😄.

Not easy for a wheelchair but if you had a couple of fit bodies to help it would be doable if you can travel a bumpy track.

Why the concrete wall around the trees?
Is a stone wall Matthew, it’s a permanent marker for the spot and keeps the livestock away from the trees. Hundreds of years ago the hill was used for beacon fires as well.
Do you know if you type farmer p into Google maps, while searching in England, it goes right to your house?
