This was quite the transformation, but you don't have to look this rough with locs. The primary reason I still have my locs ( 7 years) is because I went with a high top. I get the best of both worlds.
Long hair at the top i can put up in a bun, let down or throw to the side. Still look clean with tapered fade and edge up with a groomed, straight shaved beard.
It helps to know how to cut and retwist your own hair. Wash and stay away from bad hair products. These cats go full head and don't cut their own hair or groom themselves. Looking scruffy AF. No wonder they get tired of them.
Lox’s look great when they are maintained but even then, I always see hair thinning . Not just around the edges but all over. Over time it starts to look like large parts or bald spots around the locks.

Hey game changer I cut my locs off about 8 months ago but I got a curly hair cut & I still have hard parts in my hair from my locs.. is there anything you think I can do to remove them? It kinda makes me look like I have a bald spot at the front of my head.. I tried double shampooing and conditioning & scramble washing really hard lol please help if you can thanks!!
You may have damaged follicles and may not be able to. Look into some natural hair care. Don’t forget to take time and massage your scalp especially when washing and conditioning.

Quality over speed! THANK YOU! Main issue I have with the places like Great Clips, Sports Clips, etc. They are only worried about quantity and not quality. Can a good cut go fast sure, but a great cut needs to be understood that you're in the chair until I'm done.
