- This is land based video in Pirates Landing Fishing pier, I went out with some Bay Bug lures from "Texas Made Lures" and some pinfish cut bait I caught in the entrance.
That ending got me rolling lol good stuff man

I was watching my own video and I didn’t see a flashlight?? 🤷🏾♂️🤣😂😂 I’m assuming your thinking the UV LIGHT is a flashlight? If so. Then no, it’s not a flashlight buddy. It’s a UV Light that makes anything that glows, glow much brighter instantly.

You should use heavier line so the fish doesn't run so far away and risk getting tangled with the other rods on the pier. You can horse most fish in with heavy enough tackle.
I was using 65lb braid on a 6500 Penn slammer with 80lb mono leader line. It’s hard to horse in a 75-100lb sting ray. But I’ve done it before taking time. It wasn’t some small ray.
@@seffishing If you have heavy enough line and rod you can catch a fish like that without even letting it run.
You knew the fish was a sting ray, why not tighten the drag all the way down and let the line pop off

You should go fish at Portsmanfield Tx to the pier and make some videos there too a lot of big fish pop up sometimes and great video

@@seffishing They do have lights but they don’t turn on but it’s still good fishing if you go in the morning.
What’s the best bait to use there? And which pier? Do t the have more than one?
There’s also an old pier there that they fixed up but idk the directions to get there.

I see you have a crab net, why didn't you lower it in the water that way you can put the fish in it. You can leave the grab net hanging down into the water and force your keeper fish into it
It’s not a crab net sir. It is a pier net to bring in big catches. A crab net is similar but different in the middle etc

When I did it I used a crab net to bring the fish up, I don't think they had a net made for pulling fish up like that.
You prob don’t fish often. Because a pier net has been available for years and years 🤷🏾♂️. But anyways. Watch my other videos, you will see me using it on big black drums
@@seffishing I use to fish often. I wade fished and fished off a boat. I spent some time fishing off piers too. I think I bought my pier net(crab net) 18 or 20 years ago. Not sure if they had a big net just for pier fishing then or not.
