the knowledge you have gathered in such a short space of time is amazing! you can identify singers from their faces, name them and appreciate them... its so amazing!!!
Ravi Shankar explaining the way of communication through music 🎶🎵🎶..... Actually in ancient times our music was communication, story telling, feeling expression and much more 🪕🪕🪕
It's so interesting that you mention the pictoral way of expressing the notes in classical music! When I'm learning carnatic music, what ends up happening is that I draw the journey of the note in the way that I hear it so that after the lesson I'm able to reproduce it. What's funny is that my sister's drawing of those same notes may look pretty different but that's the way she sees/hears the notes, even though we sound pretty similar when we sing! In conclusion carnatic music is complex and fascinating and just so cool!! So good to see you two back, thanks for the reaction!
The last person in video was the Legendary arrist Sitar player Pandit Ravi Shankar ji. He is the Artist Your father talked about in Bangladesh charity concerts in 1970s. He is the Greatest artist this whole world ever produced. He is the one who attracted the Beatles towards indian Classical music.
Would love to see you check out "Voice of the Moon" live by Anoushka Shankar (2014 Coutances France version). She is Pandit Ravi Shankar's daughter and a UK-based sitarist. Really beautiful performance!
I haven’t listened to much indian music but dammit these voices and songs sound so good, I should listen more, any suggestions? Also I know Waleska just came back so I don’t want to rush you guys but I was hoping you guys checked out twice’s pre-release english track ‘Moonlight Sunrise’ since their Korean comeback is on the 12th of this month. They also got a “Breakthrough Award” at the billboard womens music awards, so proud of them 🙌🏽💖 loved the reaction as always!
So happy to see Wale feeling better and also looking stunning. Great video guys. Particularly that last clip from the BBC archives. A friendly suggestion for you guys- when you mention stalwarts like Pandit Ravi Shankar Ji, adding a "Pandit" (meaning one who has acquired a wealth of knowledge in some field) before the name and a "ji" at the end is more appropriate. Its our Indian way of showing respect. I think you will agree that this is the least we could do to honour their dedication and accomplishments.
who's the singer at 8:48 singing sapna jahan ...she's the best singer in the bunch. Please help me with a link . I would have loved to see the creators put the links to such videos in their description to make it easier for people to follow the singers too.
I see that you guys realized how great India and Indian industry is in music but I see so many Indians who run after western singers and songs who basically have no chance of standing against the indian legendary singers.
M 2004 born learned classical music from age 6, completely by the old way, that musical note demonstration thingie on paper, I saw that on my insta few days back only😅 ( I didn't go to a university or smthg, just a house of a certified teacher)
Let me tell u one thing brother and sisters, btw music is given by God/lord Shiva himself, and we have it,so u can imagine the scale of current indian classical music and what extend of it is lost
That visual depiction of music notes....i think the creator has invented it himself.... that's not how u traditionally teach music.... but I am not sure.... India is a traditionally rich country
Hi Waleska And Efra, I would love if you would react to some of my favorite songs: Bhanvari Devi Coke Studio India - Kattey Benny Dayal, Shreya Ghoshal - Kaise Mujhe, Ghajini
The Beatles also learnt from Sir Shankar during their visit in India. You'll find a lot of Indian influence in their music as well.
the knowledge you have gathered in such a short space of time is amazing! you can identify singers from their faces, name them and appreciate them... its so amazing!!!
