I love how the opening for this one has a happy tune reflecting the bright times you experience in it and the opening for 2 is a bit more serious like the game itself. gotta love how much effort the composer gives to this series
I agree. The first of Trails of Cold Steel's op is so bright. The later are more heavy and serious, both op and ed. Honestly I want an another passionate and lively song in this series.

Also this and ys 8 made me buy Nintendo switch to keep these games with me at all times. Patiently waiting for the cs4 switch release in April

When you put all the stories together, yes, this series is good. I’d call it the MCU of JRPGs. With Cold Steel being like Avengers, especially since it has 4 games like Avengers has 4 movies.
After completing the first two Trails of Cold Steel games within a month i can safely say this is my favorite J-RPG series of all time. I can't wait to play the Sky trilogy, Crossbell games and than dive into Cold Steel 3 and 4. Also Sara Supremacy!

I've been listening to this and another song called Being by another singer (Kotoko) for the Shakugan no Shana 2nd OP. The two singers worked for the same studio and one of them supposedly wrote for the other. I do wonder where this melody came from. Was it that the seemingly earlier song by Kotoko was the original, and the melody was then copied for Pulsation to Tomorrow for Kanako Kotera? Or was Pulsation always the original but was released later thanks to some agreement between the pair or the studio they belonged to? There also seems to be a surprisingly low number of outright covers of either song. For Pulsation I found a accordion version and for Shakugan op 2 I found it in an Animez medley. Strange how little information I could find even with a bit of digging.
Still waiting for this year steam summer sale so i can buy this game (i´m poor :,v)to buy Trails of Cold Steel 1 and 2. I´am not much into RPGs but this one have something that really really magnets me into it, the little i saw spoil a RPG like i have never play before.
Already beat this game this weekend, for once a PNG didn´t lie, the game feels just great. 200 hours on my first play just because i couldn´t hold back to read all and grind, must say was enjoyably WORTH and luckily was able to pick CS2 during sale because goddamn clifhangers.
2:49 up the point where theres vocals some of those Transformers Japanese shows opening vibes and also g1 am I the only one ok look that headmasters intro and some tracks from the g1 movie it sounds just slightly similar
Really has potential for Anime, but would require a lot of work to adapt everything and do it with giving justice to the games, so sadly seen how this is still quite a niche games series I hardly see a studio starting a full scale adaptation with no assurance of it to be a success. But yeah if a big studio like let say Ufotable adapt this, definitly count me in.

Main Female at least Canon would be Alisa if im not completly wrong. And yeah chosing one is so damm hard. I wouldnt mind paying 20 Dollar just for a Harem Ending DLC for 4 so that i dont have to choose. Yeah but it was already way to hard to choose in 1 and 2 between Fie Laura Sara and Towa. And the others are great too.
@@susakuzero after i played cs2, i believe Alisa is the canon pairing, so It's pretty contraductive with bonding system. Many non bonding events that showing Alisa is look more special to Rean and in some scenes, Alisa always closer to Rean than Laura. Id love Icy Maiden in cs 2, sadly the seiyu of her already passed away.

Oh and fun fact about her is that i heard it but i am not sure if its true and never searched for a confirmation but from what i read Alisia was even planed as the MC instead of Rean. As for the Realtionship itself well the thing is why Alicias Events where mostly in 1 better then for example Lauraus or Fies or Sara cant tell to much about Emma was mostly that you could already tell that she had since the beginning a ceush on Rean and because of that her events mostly in 1 where more flashed out then the Events of the otheres but i would say there is one exeption and that is Towa which felt like since Game 1 that she also developed a crush on Rean pretty early on. As for two things i felt have at this point changed a bit where you could also feel something already from Fie and Laura and there the thing realy beginn to start. A funny thing there was when you where at the Reinford Tower where you had some bonding Events i think with Fie and Alisa you could also talk with Sharon which gave a unique Coment after you had a Bonding event with one of them and another line when you had your event with both of them. And wow never heard that Claires Va passed away well thats sad. And well she was very good in her Role. Well but from what i heard or saw she was never realy a RO for Rean but at she had a very special i think it was a extra Event in 4 which was realy amazing and great.
@@susakuzero i think thats rumor pretty accurate because on the artbook of CS I, II & IV, I found something similiar just like you describe above, especially at the artbook of I&2, the draft/sketch of Alisa's images is more often than others including Reans itself. I think, there are 2 factors why Towa likes Rean, first is because Rean is the only person whose come from class VII and stay close with Towas circle and the second is because Rean helping her in every freedays. I guess thats not really early on, it developed step by step. Which CS? Because Fie and Alisa were in Roer on CS 1 and 2. I suppose to remember every convensations with that supermaid. Well, I remember when Captain Claire asking Rean to go to F bar sadly somebody interrupt him haha... you know, Captain Claire and F bar background music are perfectly match. I like her voice in Japan. So soft and match with her appearance. So I decide to rank them: Greatsword - Icy Maiden - "The Cat's Owner" - Eclair. (CS2)

And i would defently buy a Spinnof Game which show the Game from their perspective. And yeah i mean Towa did not happen in an insant but beside Alicia i would say her Bonding events show me the biggest hint in 1. While the rest realy become flashed out in 2. Also the Scene i was refering too did happen in 2. Funny enough there was also another Bonding Event where Fie where Sleeping at a weird place again in a Inn where you carry her to a bed which also resulted i think it was a Coment from Sharon but i am not 100% sure if it was her or somebody else but i think it was her. CS1 is a gem. but IMO they can decrease the love interest to only just Alisa, Laura, Emma and Towa

Who is the main female in this game? Still confused. I'd prefer Alisa to be with him, but my idealist mind has choose Laura and based on real life and the term of perfection I choose Sara Valestien. Fie and Emma also gwuuudd. What a game! Nice falcom n xseed!
Main Female at least Canon would be Alisa if im not completly wrong. And yeah chosing one is so damm hard. I wouldnt mind paying 20 Dollar just for a Harem Ending DLC for 4 so that i dont have to choose. Yeah but it was already way to hard to choose in 1 and 2 between Fie Laura Sara and Towa. And the others are great too.
@@susakuzero after i played cs2, i believe Alisa is the canon pairing, so It's pretty contraductive with bonding system. Many non bonding events that showing Alisa is look more special to Rean and in some scenes, Alisa always closer to Rean than Laura. Id love Icy Maiden in cs 2, sadly the seiyu of her already passed away.

Well the thing is since Alisia is the Canon choice its normal that her events are more flashed out. Oh and fun fact about her is that i heard it but i am not sure if its true and never searched for a confirmation but from what i read Alisia was even planed as the MC instead of Rean. As for the Realtionship itself well the thing is why Alicias Events where mostly in 1 better then for example Lauraus or Fies or Sara cant tell to much about Emma was mostly that you could already tell that she had since the beginning a ceush on Rean and because of that her events mostly in 1 where more flashed out then the Events of the otheres but i would say there is one exeption and that is Towa which felt like since Game 1 that she also developed a crush on Rean pretty early on.
As for two things i felt have at this point changed a bit where you could also feel something already from Fie and Laura and there the thing realy beginn to start. A funny thing there was when you where at the Reinford Tower where you had some bonding Events i think with Fie and Alisa you could also talk with Sharon which gave a unique Coment after you had a Bonding event with one of them and another line when you had your event with both of them.
And wow never heard that Claires Va passed away well thats sad. And well she was very good in her Role. Well but from what i heard or saw she was never realy a RO for Rean but at she had a very special i think it was a extra Event in 4 which was realy amazing and great.
@@susakuzero i think thats rumor pretty accurate because on the artbook of CS I, II & IV, I found something similiar just like you describe above, especially at the artbook of I&2, the draft/sketch of Alisa's images is more often than others including Reans itself. I think, there are 2 factors why Towa likes Rean, first is because Rean is the only person whose come from class VII and stay close with Towas circle and the second is because Rean helping her in every freedays. I guess thats not really early on, it developed step by step.
Which CS? Because Fie and Alisa were in Roer on CS 1 and 2. I suppose to remember every convensations with that supermaid. Well, I remember when Captain Claire asking Rean to go to F bar sadly somebody interrupt him haha... you know, Captain Claire and F bar background music are perfectly match.

Well what i actualy found realy amazing about the CS is that i would say nearly everyone of Class VII has the potential to be the MC with all their personal different and well written backstorys and suport Characters. And i would defently buy a Spinnof Game which show the Game from their perspective.
And yeah i mean Towa did not happen in an insant but beside Alicia i would say her Bonding events show me the biggest hint in 1. While the rest realy become flashed out in 2.
Also the Scene i was refering too did happen in 2. Funny enough there was also another Bonding Event where Fie where Sleeping at a weird place again in a Inn where you carry her to a bed which also resulted i think it was a Coment from Sharon but i am not 100% sure if it was her or somebody else but i think it was her. And i am not sure if this where the only ocasitons.
Also while some people didnt like the i would say pick your Waifu System i find it perfect. And a funny thing was i actualy bought the Game without even realize that there is such a System and i thought oh great another Game with a forced Romance where i might like some of the other Girls more but then i found it out and was realy happy about it since from the start i like some other Characters more then Alisia i mean she is not bad that is none of the Girls but i dont know i just prefered the desing of Laura and Fie.
And Fie probaly because she reminds me of a Character where i say that she was maybe the Inspiration when they created Fie the biggest difference would be the Weapons but for the Rest .......... And i am talking about Koneko from High Shool DXD and if you dont knew her or DXD here for comparision Fie in 1 and 3 and then Koneko

Also for me its probaly hard to make an actual Ranking but i think mine would be. First place Laura and Fie imposible to decide. Second place Sarah and Towa also imposible to decide. Thirs place Alisia together with Emma. and after that the Brocon duo Alfin and Elise. And i cant tell about the new Characters from 3 and i dont mention Characters who dont had enough time or Events. Even though i would have found it hilarious if you could also RO Sharon because her whole Character was also amazing same for Claire.
Also still wating for the CS Anime even it will probaly sadly never happen. But the potential would be huge.

Agreed. The 2nd and 3rd are still good, but the 4th one, really disapoints me. I was expecting something epic for the final game of the Erebonia arc.
