Not very often. This was only the fourth time they've ever met. Before this 21-22 home-and-home series, they'd met in a couple bowls, but that's it. SEC-Big Ten regular season matchups are pretty darn rare. Another interesting fact: Auburn has never played Notre Dame. It's one of the few remaining matchups between traditional CFB powers that has yet to happen.
As an Alabama fan, what I commend the Penn State players with when they score they are so disciplined. I am sick of Saban’s Player’s acting like they never been in the in zone resembling the Thuggish behaviors of the Cokehead of Miami in the 70’s. Congratulations to Penn State. I’m old enough to remember Todd Blackledge coming to Legion Field doing a 31- 0 against Bama. The night before that game the Alabama linemen and Alabama’s QB Schula was sitting in front of us smoking Mariauna listening to Jimmy Buffet at the Pelham Amphitheater. Years later Alabama being in the DumpsterFire hired this Pot head for a Coach. Take heart Auburn, Alabama has had bad games.
The 70s??? You mean 80s right??? Miami football sucked in the 70s it wasn't until the 80s when they were good and got the awesome recruits that happened to be coke heads and acted like thugs. Just would like some clarification on that please, but interesting story though...I can see Shula being a pothead plus he being Don Shula's son being spoiled and all lol makes sense. No wonder why they never won a championship...thanks for sharing.
It was so fun in the 80's watching JoePa's ultra-disciplined squads beat up on overhyped teams like Bama and Miami --- that was a glorious time for Penn State and I hope that kind of winning returns!

Now next week we are set up for mizzou vs Auburn. The battle of the below average disappointments (this from someone who roots for the black and gold tigers).
Dam the blocking @10:10 was superb!
O Line looked liked a different squad this week. They were killing it. But good blocking by the receivers also.
Damn. Penn State whooped them.
Chad Powers was absolutely unstoppable in this game!
honestly penn st probably would of beat anyone today..they looked really sound
would have*
Penn State looks very good on the road. Let’s see how they do in the Big House against its Nemesis Michigan.
@tim ackley Michigan is a bigger and tougher Animal. Penn State knows that. Penn State does not do well in the Big House. We will see what these Nittany Lions do.
@@laentidaddesconocida Michigan ain't that big or bad, bud. Head to head = 5-5 record since 2010
@@neetrab Did you ever go back and apologize for running your mouth because in 2022 Michigan beat you guys like a steel drum
Anytime a team out side of the SEC Conference beats an SEC team they are a very good team And believe me Penn State proved that in this game
That’s because Penn St keeps a lot of kids home. It’s plenty of great programs in the Midwest our kids doesn’t have to run South all the time. We play football just as well as the South and that’s why the SEC always coming here recruiting. And this is the result of it when kids stay home

@@tonystarks7715 Lmfao. Why the SEC always needs home games against them B1G boys. North still winning the battles 😂
The commentary was so good on this game..."So far they have kept Singleton in check...NOT in check...53 yards! Here comes Singleton...there GOES Singleton!". Was a great job by the broadcast team.
I can't believe the entire D-line fell for the ol' belly flop double pass @5:00😂
Penn State: Your SEC chants mean nothing to me, i've seen what makes you cheer!
Corny but keep going
My Tide whipped yall dumb in 2010/2011. Good job beating the barners tho! Haha
@@louieo.blevinsmusic4197 Auburn took your tide off a bumbled field goal lmao
Penn State looked great! Wow! Freshmen TB looks like next Barkley
@@gregj831 nah he looks like himself sonny
you can say what you want but we all know the SEC on CBS showcases what is expected to be the SEC team whooping the Big Ten ass, but today my friends it was a bit different. Penn State never gave Auburn a chance to catch there breath and beat the tar out of them.
Dude, we are one of the worst teams in the conference. Nothing to be proud of by beating us. And Penn St was the one favored to win this so...
@@wesdavis309 They were favoured by 3 points so stop it.
@Isaiah Prout Doesn't change anything...B1G came in to your home turf and got some...period.
@@wesdavis309 sure
@Isaiah Prout
Beautiful to see penn state beat the breaks off of auburn in front SEC country on CBS, with biased Brad Nesslar and Gary in the booth having to sit through that azz whoopin
As a bama fan i like the new coach please keep him .we need a 20 yr run of beating auburn
saban will die long before that and bama will crumble
The SEC bias on CBS was incredible. Brad Nessler was going to be sick. Remember when he was actually not biased on ESPN?
amazing game by psu!
"So far, kept him in check. Singleton, not in check.." I may be one of the few, but love Brad's calls.
Singleton has speed for days. Honestly I thought this would be a closer game. Ashford should start for Auburn. WE ARE!
Penn St wow, Auburn look like a high school team they had some good tackling I don't think so.
I saw the title like "Holy shit, Penn St played Auburn?! How often does that happen?"
@Eric Foreskin
Like last year lol.
It's happened twice recently...
PSU 2-0. Haha
Still should've showed that hit on Clifford. Big PSU fan but that was a great lick.
Singleton is a speeding wristband! To me, I see a lot of Saquon in him.
PSU said they wanted another Saquon like player and they believe they found him. 👍
Bucks fan here saying way to represent the big ten by taking an SEC team to the wood shed and absolutely demolishing them
Respect ✊🏼
#13 cut in the end zone 🔥
Singleton has some serious burners
Quit being a coward and just say " I don't like black ppl". I hate when white ppl beat around the bush using punk codewords. Remember those same group with socalled "thuggish behavior" got Alabama 18 national title. Now go get your catholic choir boys and match that😐💪
Thugs celebrate after touchdowns in college? Here I was thinking thugs didn't go to school
Dam.... Penn State messed over them boys 😂😂😂😂
Penn State is one tough team. They deserve a higher ranking I think. Literally just made Auburn look like a tier 3 team.
Auburn's D blowing tackles all day.
Penn state a top 12 team
Auburn will be lucky to make it to a bowl game tbh
We ain't getting a bowl game this year. Praying Harsin is fired before the end of the year.
Gonna miss brad nessler 😢
What happened? Is he retiring, or are you just going to be sad when he does retire? I will be too.
@@chuckyjamesamartin1968 cbs will be on big ten
Harsin inherited players from Peterson at boise and when they left team underachieved. Why auburn hired him is a mystery too me
Our BOT and former AD are complete f**k ups
Damn ... Never thought about that.. he need to go... We got a lil talent but nobody to max out they potential...
@@SuckaFreeG205 won't get a good coach with the boosters wanting to run the team like GM's...
You kinda answered the question. Peterson brought in good talent and Harsin won with them. So the thinking is Auburn will have better talent so he should win with them but the flaw in that thinking is everyone in the SEC have good talent too.
Get Mr. Freeze on the phone ASAP!!! Hell Bobby Petrino would be great at this point. I'm not even an Auburn fan, actually I'm a Bama fan but even I want to see this dumpster fire put out.
Skill players get a ton of credit and blame but you can't be as outmatched on the line as Auburn was here and expect a win. Great show by the PSU line on both sides of the ball!
How does your off line and def line get demoralized in the same game
B10 still undefeated at Auburn (1-0-1). It's amazing these stronger, faster and more physical SEC athletes can be dominated so easily. Nice home and home sweep for PSU. The SEC West is not as strong as the ideologues want you to believe it is.
Auburn is just a mess right now and I doubt they win 3 more games. That said, they also beat themselves today. Be interesting to see how the season plays out for both teams.
@Isaiah Prout Always excuses.
@Isaiah Prout ranked 10th in the country? What?
@Isaiah Prout Kentucky is good though
Of course all things change there was a time when sec had advantage but that time is long passed
Getting loud for Sean Clifford is when 106,000 people are screaming in 1 stadium in state college.
WE ARE PENN STATE
Hopefully, this doesn’t become the highlight reel that I come back to stew over late in the season, wondering what could have been. (I’m a Penn State fan)
Gus malzahn was fired prematurely. How’s his replacement doing..😂
auburn stunk up the stadium today. as an auburn fan, i can say, they're quarter back sucks, and the backup can't hit the side of a barn. were screwed!, and we need a new head coach. were really screwed! if we win another game this year, ahhh not gonna happen.
Well, you can always strap up and do a better job.
Try the Texas AM transfer… can’t be no worse than the others.
Just revisiting this to laugh about “wait till you visit our home” just to watch the program implode after this game 😊
Lived in AL for 12 years as a PSU fan. Hard place to live if you're not an SEC fan. They take their football very seriously. I hope they take this loss seriously. They flat out got thumped.
They take it seriously when they are winning and are no where when they are losing. That sums up the majority of the sec fan base.
Au contraire. Auburn grad here. That is more media hype than reality. SEC teams are often tough but not across the board every team every year. The main point is there have been more national championships won in the south in the last 40 years than any other conference. Also Harvey Updyke does not represent Alabama as a whole any more than Sandusky at Penn. Congrats on a great win. Deserved it. Auburn did not
Also fewer pro teams to get behind growing up in south but i prefer college anyway
@@mattbeall8146 Oh look…, another spin sec tactic….

That Quarterback wearing #1 for Auburn better be studying Cam Newton's playbook.
Love those Lions!
What’s better than LSU and Auburn already losing? If only Tennessee could’ve as well. Roll Tide! Good job, Penn St. This was a damn spanking!
Ha. Your welcome. After Penn State won last year. The Auburn fans were saying just wait till next year, You'll be in our house. War Eagle my ass.

@@livetotell100 dude, they’re the biggest babies in the world. They got caught paying Cam Newton, which they got a NC out of, and nothing happened to them. They had literally the luckiest season I’ve ever seen in ‘13 and thankfully Florida St came back at the end and won that NC game. Allllll that luck and now they just cry cry cry. They had Malzahn who was a damn good coach and beat my Tide once every 3 years but that wasn’t good enough for ‘em so they make the dumbest hire ever with Harsin and ohhhh how they deserve it. He can’t recruit (Gus recruited top10 usually) as his classes have had one in the 30’s and currently this next one is in the 30’s…maybe 1 top100 player in one of those classes. Maybe…. As a Bama fan I’ve always somewhat liked Penn St. from the home ‘n homes we’d have every decade or so (I think the last was ‘10/‘11 seasons) so I’m glad it was yall that got first swing at ‘em. Wasn’t just a swing though but a whopping punch! Don’t worry about the single tooth in their mouth though as the punch didn’t do that….they only had one tooth to begin with! 😂 Roll Tide and thanks, Nittany Lion!

Felt like Auburn could have made this closer.
But those mistakes were catastrophic for them.
@John 4 turnovers on crucial drives isn't catastrophic?
@John That didn't answer my question John.
I picked PSU to win this but damn. This was Auburn’s biggest loss at home all year
Auburn faithful that was a rough one but congrats to penn state maybe they can take down Ohio state this year would definitely love to see it. It was a total team loss but our big guys up front you guys gonna need to get pushed this week. 11 tackles for a loss at home is just unheard of you guys weren’t able to pick up the blitz and pass blocking was nonexistent. This wasn’t a change your qb for better results it all starts up front.
Shouts out to Penn State representing for the Big 10!
