CEEN 545 - Lecture 17 - Wave Propagation, Part II

In this second part of the the 2-part series, I provide an example of a wave moving through a multi-layer rod. I demonstrate how transmission and reflected waves are computed. This lesson introduces the idea of wave refraction and its application to body waves from earthquakes. Finally, I go over the idea of damping. I introduce the topic of material damping, and briefly cover the concept of radiation damping.
