Bro, you are a bad ass! I parlayed off of your confidence and was able to pass my BSIS Exposed Firearms Permit! You have answered all of my questions and then some! Be safe out there brother!
Great video just so you know I think the company you meant to say was G4S they are the biggest security company in the world they pay well but tough to get in.
I landed a security gig overseas with a company that I'm leaving for soon. I also got offered an armed position at a hospital with a Tahoe for patrols. They are out there guys, just gotta keep looking.
Well, companies are all over just like every other place. Look on indeed for starters or google, just noticed you said that. Better off to get hired first so they pay for your card class and everything else. First thing I ask, what kind of contracts do you have and what am I eligible for. They type of contracts is what matters to me. I wouldn’t care if they paid $50 an hour or more. Especially when it comes to requiring more in depth training. Get into corrections and other law enforcement and public safety positions. Pay is a little higher than a private civilian security guard and have full benefits and retirement plans. On top of that, only work 14 days out of the month with a phat paycheck when you work in the civil service and public sector. Unless you want to do, or forced OT. Luckily my agency don’t force OT unless if it’s actually needed.
How long did it take you to get your test results through the mail for Psi | BSIS firearm assessment exam? I know u said it took you 10 days to get your results online. Thanks man enjoying every new video, very insightful
I just started I’m brand new to security they started me at 19$ a hour, that place that called you and didn’t tell you the pay , they pay from 12-15$ a hour very very low
I’m wondering if you go get your exposed carry, but you have no experience, will anyone want to hire you. I’m thinking companies probably want at least one year experience first.
you can work normal security aka unarmed for like a year first then anyone will hire you and they will see you have an exposed carry permit so that will get you better paying different more options at jobs and you can always do both when you have that ability...it makes you more diverse flexible and proves your more qualified and committed to the role....
The reason she told you she did not want to waste your time is because, she notice that you value your worth,.Big security companies do not want individuals that will not take take the job because of low pay.
@@defcon3security782 I live in Texas and they were only paying me $10.50 for an armed guard position. When I asked for a day off to test for the fire dept, they straight up denied me and told me I had to come into work. I went to work, but I dipped mid-day to go test for the FD and said "screw you" to allied. That's no0t enough pay to potentially risk my life for a company. And they have the audacity to wonder why they're hurting for staff so much....
Good luck sir you know there's a bunch of us on this channel if I can't answer your question I'm sure somebody else can just there are people that have been in this industry way longer than me on this channel
You can either get it on Amazon and if you don't like it return it or go on eBay I think I got mines on eBay they are legitimately Safari holsters they retail for $165 and I think I got mines for 20 bucks naturally they're used but it's a holster it's not meant to look pretty
I'm starting to find that a lot of these well-known companies have that trend low pay high turnaround That's why I say go out there and start your own working for somebody leads to nowhere
Also indeed / monster / zip recruiter/ avid the big company’s I will tell you they try and low ball everybody AUS/ G4S /GW/ the big company’s just want new guys they can low ball ... in my opinion in house Secuirty is the best unless you get into upper management it all sucks small company/ mid range company’s are the way to go !
Can you give me an example of In-House security I keep hearing that term but I think I'm using it incorrectly basically let's say I work at a casino and they're like Mike can you be security for us is that how that works
Defcon 3 Security in house security is when the site you’re at, you actually work for, not contracted. I worked at a college, and I was an employee of the college, meaning it was in house. I wasn’t contracted out by another company.
Hey that's not too bad especially that you're not armed ultimately you do want to get armed that's where all the money is and the responsibility those 12-hour shifts though that's pretty heavy duty but beyond that it's a great starting point so congratulations
Just remember 26 years ago minimum wage was 6 bucks an hour in San Diego, and you could buy 6 gallons of gas and or 2 boretos at a taco shop for 1 hour of work. Minimum wage today gets you 2.5 gallons of gas and or 1 boreto per hour worked!! Minimum wage should be 23 bucks an hour to compare to 26 year ago minimum wage! Just a thought everyone reading this
This is very true but I messaged in your other comment I make really good money in this industry at the end of the day the real money is starting your own company and it's not as hard as one would think
You nailed it on the pay rates. I'm planning to start my PPO and once established I hope to pay $22 / he for armed. Nice video!

I'm currently working 12s 4 days on 3 days off but my pay range is from 35 to 42 an hour
HSS hired me to work at a hospital about 4 miles from my house.
How do you like hospital security?
I like hospitals that have big cafeterias so I always have somewhere to eat getting the employee discount but I hate the whole germ aspect
@@tinapitts6222Well its different but I love it.

you know that makes absolute sense and that's what pissed me off so much is that they're looking for people that are willing to work for nothing
G4s got acquired by Allied universal, and the pay is pretty lame.
That's what I hear crazy how big allied has grown over the years they are everywhere

Indeed is good. Zip Recruiter is another good service.
Yes I've had some luck with ZipRecruiter too it's all about utilizing all resources

Yep that's absolutely right
What’s better armed security or unarmed
