- The pain and suffering continues this week on Top 10 Hands of the Week with another battering in the challenge! We've had some horrible weeks recently, with last week losing $100 within a week of 10nl with KK alone! This week the run bad takes a different form, as the boards completely set us up for further disaster, and I take it predictably badly. Enjoy!

Mate if I told you you’d be 40% done with the challenge 3 months ago, you’d think I’m crazy. Just goes to show how important mental game and holding off tilt is, and you’ve done a great job at that (despite the pool still being a complete stain)

Oh boy another rough one. I've been into similar spots to the T2 before, and top and bottom pair is just rarely good there (and legit with top 2 its still a set or similar hand I've been up against). Especially in limped pots with a flop spr of 50 in a pool of stains.
Yeah idk the T2 hand feels horrible to me for some reason!
Having seen the non-crystals-based advice in the comments, are you willing to change your stance? Could it really hurt to pop a little amethyst up the bum or whatever it is the spiritual masters do to turn their luck around?

@7:00 in JL's preflop charts pocket 44 through TT is just a limp in the SB, that raise was him telling you he flopped a set, you had the T2 blocker and two pair.
The only thing you could've done is call for a fullhouse but yeah it's pretty much a cooler,

Variance can be brutal. I think, 100k hands are nothing … u can run 300k hands super bad and it would be „normal“ with a low 0,5 - 3 bb win-rate. So, keep ur head up, continue to play good poker, improve and u will be soon over this downer!

I guess, that in these fishy games, there is no such thing as they can not have a limp or call range with hands, such as 99. And, that you simply just have to fold non-nut sets and full houses vs. check raises. At least on turns and rivers. If you read your WTSD, it might be higher than 23%, which could confirm this. :)
I tend to agree but honestly these are some absolutely unfoldable hands!

I totally feel this pain. I flopped 4 sets in my last session and lost each time to higher sets on three occasions and guy backdoored a flush in other. I was saying the exact same things "is this real life etc" 😂 complete joke how you run at this stake

I was so curious how you would do because yeah it does play like a homegame most of the time and still, believe or not on 888 I've always run as bad as you are now. I know full well I sound like an idiot now but are there any actual crushers there? And no, I don't believe in any "site's rigged" conspiracy theories, but there comes a point where you just don't know what to say.
I mean it's fairly standard for every player to experience run bad from time to time. This is definitely the worst it's been but I've been recovering recently! Just got to understand that the game is sick sometimes. Thanks for watching lad.

Play 10k hands a day at the micros losing a few stacks a week against limpers who flop the nuts nothing you can do about it.
Only that 10 10 hand is a mistake against any player at nl10 but your coach did agree so I am probably wrong.
Play some hands on a different if your 888 deal will let you will make you feel fresh again

Man I really think you need to chill a bit. Don't get me wrong, I do get super frustrated as well, sometimes to the point of pissing me off, but I just have to laugh it off. Otherwise you're setting yourself up for failure, because the frustration will lead to being overly aggressive without properly gauging the situation. It happens to me too, but it's easy to see that most people are only overly aggressive when they have a really good hand. Some hands are just awful coolers, but I think you need to calm yourself and analyze the situation.

@@eastyyy22 fair point pal. But these narrow range spots it’s easier to get away from hands that are monsters in absolute strength, but not so in relative strength. What hand that’s worse calls the river jam given he checks the flop then calls a massive turn check raise?
@@Lexington365 this player is a long time viewer and likely to call lighter than most, but it's not unreasonable that he has an A that checked back that could get sticky. Like I said, my line isn't great here but I'm not exactly folding at any point!

my friend, I do not fully agree with all of your decisions made, but this was really painful watch, previous videos similar. I do not wish to insult you but you have and are capable of playing better than you are currently, due to frustration possibly. But you are being absolutely fucked by the poker gods in the same way. I dont know what your purpose with poker is, but if youre trying to build a bank roll, you shouldnt play at this low micro stakes where the opponants basically dont care about winning or losing. You should actually start at a slightly higher stake, maybe like 0.25/0.50.
My purpose is to create content, and I don't really play much as a result.

You just play too tight, you give away too much information and have no defense so you overpay on those spot and get bluff all the time with marginal hand ! Optimal aggression is way more that you think, they just play more optimal than you so you loose. But optimal play get hit by the rake so it's very hard to win those days.
