I just came back from Germany like a week ago, and these videos don't do this place justice. So massive and so detailed. I more than highly recommend this place, and with all the fun things you can in Germany, this will be one of the things that truly will blow your mind.
I was there. It is absolutely worth it. The flow of the crowd might make you rush a little and some of your companions might be a bit impationt sometimes but I can stress this sentence enough: TAKE. YOUR. TIME. when you are there. Not only have they implemented a day and night cycle, where the entire scenary littearly changes. But you can also interact with the world at many instances. Some times others are pressing the buttons. Some events are time sensitive some are even scripted and don't happen all the time. and even if you don't do anything and just admire the shear size of all of that, do not, and i mean it, do not just jump around. The longer you look at something, the more details and secrets you may find. If you ask me, I would say, if it takes you 3 or 4 hours to go through it, you definitely have a good impression but you did not "took your time". On the other hand, I would bet that even multiple visits aren't enough to see everything. But IF you ever have the oportinity, take that chance.
Since your Living in Germany you probably have the 49€ Deutschland Ticket. Hamburg is worth a Weekend Trip. Great City with lots of Sightseeing. Hamburg Dungeon is also worth visiting alongside the Miniature Wunderland. I visit Hamburg Frequently also because Hamburg is considered Germany's Capital for Musicals.
Other people have already written this in the comments, but I will repeat it once more, so you have no excuse not to do it after your second reaction to it: Take a trip to Hamburg and visit the Minitatur Wunderland! Go there by train, although the Deutsche Bahn is not famous for being on time. Once you are in Hamburg, you can go everywhere by public transport. The tram and subway network is great and many attractions are just a short walk apart. From the central train station to the MiWuLa it's less than half an hour - walking!
While I agree with you on all other aspects, there is no tram in Hamburg. The last line was discontinued in 1978. But you still get around quite nicely, and I usually walk from the Central Station to MiWuLa...like twenty minutes or so, enjoying the Speicherstadt on the way.
@@olli1068 No problem, and thanks for correcting this. I still remember driving behind the last trams going to university in my 1971 VW beetle for the first two semesters and then...no more. Just the No. 5 bus instead.
It's absolutely worth it! Even without the MIWULA the city of Hamburg is a must see. Take your time. You probably will need the whole day in there. Combine it with a Harbour tour and get yourself a fish sandwich, I recommend Krabbenbrötchen (shrimp sandwich) or my personal favorite Fischfrikadellenbrötchen (fish cake sandwich) with raw onions.
I was there more than 20 Times at this point, and discover something new every time. If you are ever in Hamburg, this is definetly a must visit. (Also for everyone intending to go there, make sure to pre-book your tickets, because otherwhise you are going to wait a long time..
Go for a visit and TAKE YOUR TIME! Monaco is opened as far as i know. They added Patagonia and Rio de Janeiro including the Carnival and so on. If posible book the "Behind the Scenes" tour, the wonderlandians show what they are doing there... it is overwhelming.
The last time I was there (in May, I believe) Monaco was pretty much finished but still behind glass walls because those guys had decided that they won't officially open it until their grand plan of having a functioning Monte Carlo Formula I race works out. The buildings were there, the race cars weren't. But they have all that on their YT channel.
1:47 there is actually a "train ride" video (360°) across parts of it, its on the official youtube channel if you are interested, i know its pretty old by now but still a great watch and yes, go there, it really is worth a trip, or multiple :)
I would be honored if you visited us in Germany. I would personally guide you through Miniatur Wunderland. But according to the current status in 2023, you need 3-4 days to see the entire Miniatur Wunderland.😁 There are now 2 warehouses connected by a glass bridge. The trains travel from one warehouse over the glass bridge to the other warehouse. Formula 1 is racing in Monaco. And you can also shrink yourself and experience Wonderland live as a figure using virtual reality.😇
in the last 4 years they put southamerica and the drake pasage in, It is an Racetrack in Monaco in Work, a second restaurant, an a VR Expirenc wer you get a Backpack and Glases, then you got shrinked and can walk in the Miniaturwonderland. btw: 1 one day is not enough, and were you had say is a nice City: Venic Markusplatz
You should go there. Its fantastic. But order tickets online (with an entrance time) before you go there. Otherwise you have to wait up to several hours until you can get in.
You have to take a look at what they are currently working on at Miniatur Wunderland, they are currently working on the Formula 1 circuit of Monaco, with driving simulations, which should be like a real race, as far as possible.
Been there several times over the years and it's worth it for sure. Impressiv as it may be, this video does not live up to the real deal. In reality it's way more impressive. And as others already said: Take your time, several hours at least. If you go, you can (and probably should) book tickets in advance online, which saves (sometimes rather long) waiting time at the entry. And yes, besides the Miniatur Wunderland, the city of Hamburg is a worthwhile travel destination in its own right.
Of course you should come to Hamburg. And if you had checked the Miniatur Wunderland channel on YT, you would know that a lot(!!!) has happened since the four-year old video you commented on. It's all out there for everyone to see...except for being there, which is yet a totally difference experience.
another cool thing about it, they often build of real buildings an nature. So you can really visit them in real live und would not see much of a diverence
LOL... at 3:48 the German narrator read the US formatted number "256,000" as "256 people", because in the German number format, dot and comma are swapped 😁
I noticed, and his pronunciation of "miniature" (mini-ay-cher) and "creature" (cree-ay-cher) also left some room for improvement. But hey, the rest of the Wunderland is perfect.
New sections after making this video: Provence, Monaco (race track still under construction), Rio de Janeiro, Patagonia. Money spent: 39 million euros. Working time for the layout: exceeds 1 million hours.
Sir, you will enjoy it, Iraly is finished as well, on the other side of the canal Patagonia, the drakebay and Antarktika. Monaco will soon follow including a F1 race track with miniature race cars. Hamburg itself is also nice. Be safe. Elmar from Baden-Wuerttemberg
If you looking for "Miniatur Wunderland Doku 2022" you get a very long (about 2h) but mostly up-to-date Video with much more stuff (don't know if they got English Subtitles)

lots of things to see in hamburg, not just the wunderland. When you go, time it well choose summer - have a beer at the alster lake, or elbe river - visit the clubs. Berliners are wannabes, hamburg is the real thing.
So what? Just today, I bought two "rumpsteaks" (sirloin steaks) at my local butcher, and they were excellent and sourced regionally and definitely worth it. But still each of it cost 15 euros. A day at Miniatur Wunderland is definitely worth more than that. But then, I have a year ticket for MiWuLa, so I don't have to spend 6 or 7 hours there every time just to make the entrance fee worthwhile, but can just go there for an hour or two when I feel like it.
The Miniatur Wunderland: The only place in Germany where the trains run on time.
My favorite comment 🤣
Yeah, because the trains in the Miniature Wunderland have no Timetable 😂
😂 soo true!!
Only those in miniature Switzerland probably.😂
On point
And this one is also five years old... about time we make a new one 😋
Give the people what they want! 😁 Or maybe I'll have to come there and make a video about it myself 👀🤔

I'm planning for the whole day and I've been there four times already. I wish to stay there over night with a sleeping bag.
Sean, Hamburg is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany to begin with - well worth a trip!
I've heard Hamburg is very nice 🤔👀
They have a whole channel for the Miniature Wunderland. www.youtube.com/@MiniaturWunderlandOfficial
New Patagonia/Antarctica Area is soooo fascinating: ua-cam.com/video/Exo5Q92o1cc/v-deo.html
And they publish a new video every Sunday.
In 2020 they actually build a bridge to the neighboring building. Now they have more space for new sections.

I will visit this wonderland in 10 days again - and as always, I'm super excited!

You really should do a trip to Hamburg, especially when you still live in Germany, its not that expensive then.
6:35 It has to be. The model is scale size 1:87, therefore the time will be compressed to that scale too. 87 times faster within 24 hours. Simple.
To shtink yourself down and take a ride on those trains would be epic
And in reality.... it's even so much better
Let’s go to Hamburg soon 😍
