Her style of riding is so inspiring. She really shows that you can teach/ride a horse to be “on the bit/ in frame” with loose, relaxed reins or without a bit at all. We don’t see enough of that in the equestrian community today. I see so many horses online that appear to be in a frame but the horse is just tense and hollow through the back with the rider pulling its head in to look collected and this is like a breath of fresh air to see such calm connected happy horses being given time to really learn and understand what you want them to do and being trained in such a correct way
I love how Shelby has that heavy-duty belt that looks like it should have all sorts of guns and knives and other weapons, but it's really just horse treats.
I know you work very hard every day but you and the horses have a lot of fun doing it. I was surprised how relaxed Milo was going over the bridge. Even after all these years he is still learning and growing.

Gosh I love your horses -- they are all such big goofs, playful and sweet and happy. I don't think your mom would mind me saying that Pogo is the hammiest of them all -- he's like an exponential goof (or goof to the Nth) and makes me smile every time I see him. He tries so hard to stir things up to get Milo and Banksy to play with him to the point where they just want to kick or bite him and still he keeps on. Two Qs: 1) what are the boots you're wearing -- I need a pair of those and 2) do you have a Patreon for donations; I love all the work you've done with rescues and promoting of ethical care and management of horses and I'd like to support your work?

Shelby I have a question So I have a 3 year old that I occasionally free jump probably once a month at the absolute most and nothing above 18 inches (1ft 6inches) she really enjoys it but is it ok for her to jump or should I stop and wait
@@Milestone-Equestrian Ok thank you! She has massively over jumped it a few times it was quite impressive looking she was very excited about it lol but now she’s figured it out and has stoped doing that
That’s exciting! I’d add to that...that as long as she is fit & strong enough it won’t do any harm to jump her occasionally. And in between work on the flat and building her up that way. If that makes sense 😋🙈

I agree, it’s so easy to whack on a pair of draw reins and pull their head down but it’s not always the right answer. Relaxation is key ✨

It’s mostly strength related! My legs stay pretty toned since I get on so many horses which makes it much easier to stabilize
what bridley-cavessony thing did you use to ground drive Banksy? It looks really interesting

18 inches isn’t likely to cause any lasting harm so long as she isn’t massively over jumping it
