I'm a new fan, and now I'm binge watching Lea's videos since she was a kid until now. You're such a treasure, i love you Lea Im glad I was born in this era with Lea Salonga.
I mean if you take the part into consideration, Elphaba is supposed to be much younger, and Lea’s voice has matured and deepened quite a bit, which isn’t bad, but like for higher pitch songs like this, it’s not ideal. I personally really like Lea Michelle’s cover of this song. She can go higher with the notes and have a better tone for it...just my opinion, but this was a very good cover, the high notes just didn’t do it for me🤷🏻♀️
Best cover, indeed! A very beautiful voice, a healthy, smooth chest-headtone mix, and more importantly, no screaming! I have heard many versions of this song and most singers either just scream the high notes or have annoyingly squeaky or poor quality vocals (beginning with the very horrible Idina Menzel).
Lea is so down to earth and well grounded - not to mention beautiful in and out. This was a real treat and I loved her version of 'Tomorrow' in her other video. It's nice to see she still takes on challenging songs and performs them so well. This song obviously takes a lot of energy and emotion to pull it off and she nails it. Very powerful ending.

Truly, nothing can bring you down. Thank you for sharing your gift.
This was absolutely beautiful. Thank you! I am appreciating her crystal clear vocals more and more.
that was amazing how should could get up to those notes, Lea you are the best
Best cover of Defying gravity!!! ❤️
J-per Santos Indeed. Extremely high-quality vocals!
TRUEEEEEE
have you heard morissette's cover?
