And if you choose 24 hours you can just take a day off instead of making up excuses (assuming you can feel the slug making its way out well in advance, or they come out at the same time of the day) or straight up vomiting it in front of all your friends and probably on whatever it is you're doing, which might be damaged by water/bacteria from the slug, or just end up dirty ( like in the book, Ron had hard time polishing those trophies, as the slugs exited in unpredictable intervals and got them dirty again).

There was actually a Hogwarts Online some time ago. You could take different subjects for free that basically taught the different courses. I remember having to write transmigration essays and having to practice wand movements by writing something down. Can't really remember all of it, but it was actually pretty cool.

Jadilyn, Harry only survived because Voldemort gave Lily a choice to stand aside and he did that due to Snape’s requests. So James’s Death was meaningless.
