Great video! I think another really interesting one to make would be "great underplayed cards", to bring the light to some cards that are not currently being widely played in the format, but should definitely see some love cause they are really good. Cards like Sickening Dreams, Skeletal Scrying, Undiscovered Paradise, etc
@fpawluszmtg Thanks, and yeah I was thinking about doing something like that. I actually think our two channels really helped to popularise tsabos web because I noticed be became a lot more common to see it after we made a bunch of videos talking about it. Yeah those are definitely underused good cards especially scrying , I think eradicate is quite underrated as well but I will have to look into it more and find a whole list of cards.
Absolutely agree! I went through my premodern bulk the other day and pulled out a stack of cards that I thought might be underplayed. Curious to see what a "5 Underplayed Cards in Premodern" video series would look like.
@@Reuben.Aotearoa Still not seeing it in any Rock decks or stuff like that. Ppl are playing it more, but nowhere close to enough considering how amazing it is.
@@slowtrigger ahah I think it’s a good thing because they probably won’t be cheap forever unfortunately. I’ve watched many of them go from almost nothing to actually worth something over the past 5 years
Very nice. Flashing the banned list towards the end would be nice. I'm considering building for this format. I've heard good things. Good layout in this video. Thank You
I have another video about the banned list if you’re interested in that. I highly recommend this format, it’s super fun. Thanks for the kind words I’m glad you enjoy the video and found it helpful
I get asked about this reasonably regularly so thought it was about time that I made an updated video about it. Especially as I do think the format has changed a little over the past 5 years
@@reid2826 yeah I do see your point as oath does get randomly jammed into a bunch of decks although it’s not really ‘standard practice’ for that deck. At the time I just thought it’s too much of a build around card and doesn’t see as much play as survival which is starting to get jammed into almost every green creature deck. Perhaps no oath was a miss from me but I still think it’s a bit narrow to be considered a generally good green card.
@@IPlayMagic Yeah. I do think its a bit more present than something like standstill outside of landstill. But yeah fair. Still a good vid for anyone new to the format for sure
@@reid2826 I’m not really sure about that (ankh tide often plays standstill too), it’s hard to say for sure and I’ve definitely encountered a lot more jammed in standstills and as it seems like we’ve been facing more oath decks than usual lately so it’s hard to tell😂 but yeah I see your point. Thanks and I’m glad the video is useful
I thought about including those but I havent seen Hyppie in a really long time as a lot of decks stopped running it a year or 2 ago, it probably will become more popular again if the meta becomes really control orientated though. I thought that rancor doesnt really see enough play to include it either as it's only in a tiny fraction of the decks that have access to green mana (even some aggro decks with green such as goblins dont run it).
@@foldemort8335 check out my video about where to play 👍 the uk does have some in London I believe but most places in the world don’t. Most players play online over webcam (check out my video about where to play)
@@ericmoses9066 a lot of decks have started playing survival, feb, elves , aluren, and madness all play it. I’ve seen it in the rock although it’s not really that common because of deed. There are also a bunch of midrange value/ combo decks like another similar deck to feb that I can’t remember the name of. I think it’s getting to the point where almost every creature combo deck with green is running it
@@IPlayMagic Yeah I have gone that route but if it hits the table with some open mana even the activations in response to its removal seem really strong. On another note I know you play replenish from the videos. I have an interesting take on it if you're interested.
@@ericmoses9066 I play a bit of everything, I try to play something different every month for the videos and I can borrow cards pretty easily (why I sometimes have random versions of certain stuff) but I do love replenish yeah, and I believe I was the first person to put exalted angel in the sideboard which I had loads of success with.
