I absolutely love this song. They did such a phenomenal version of the song. I really believe that Peter and Tim sound so great together. I enjoyed watching your reactions to this song.
I think the original was from 1970. This was so beautiful. I’m pretty sure the other video done at the same time was Greensleeves. Both were filmed in Oregon. Both are incredibly beautiful. Loved the harmonies and the video. Good one J & J!
Peter and Tim are always magic together. Their voices just work so well together. Their tones sound similar at certain areas of their vocal range, and very different at the ends haha.
I grew up listening to the original song by Simon & Garfunkel & have always loved it. I think Peter & Tim do a great version of this song. Their voices complement each other perfectly. The layering of their voices in this is amazing. Peter & Tim have done a lot of collaborations including "Sound Of Silence", "Greensleeves", "Fire & Rain", "Sunshine On My Shoulders", "Teach Your Children", "You Can Close Your Eyes", "And So It Goes", "Blackbird", "You've Got A Friend". All are excellent. They recently released a duet album.
oh my, are you guys YOUNG!!! The album was released in 1970 - one of the sounds of my college years. They put out an entire album of duets. I believe the one Peter was referring to is Greensleeves, since it was shot on the Oregon Coast and appears to be that same time frame, judging by Tim's hair. The video is a one-take masterpiece, and the music, of course, is excellent.
Absolutely beautiful, Tim and Peter are so good together! They are so good at a cappella that they blend their vocals so well! There are special things that make a cappella blend or not blend together and Peter and Tim work those techniques so well! Thanks, this classic deserves a great cover and they did not disappoint! Low bass ❤Kenneth❤ loved this one!
This song has such a powerful message. I’ve sung it since I was a kid in a local group. Peter and Tim are so suited to sing in these beautiful harmonies (layers and layers). I feel like the songs that Peter chooses are well thought out and not just picked out of a hat. I think by the time my kids would be able to remember that this song was no longer played often (my kids are ‘73, ‘76, ‘78). Stands to reason that you might not recall it either. Great way to start the week!! 🎶 Cyd
Hello J and J! Massive thanks Anonymous! My mother also loved this song. She died in 2003. This brings back so many happy memories of my sweet mother. I miss her so much!
All the songs Peter and Tim do together are gorgeous. They pick some of the most lyrically beautiful songs, mostly classics from the 60's and 70's and bring them to new generations. They have also done a collaboration on "Sounds of Silence" which is one of the very best renditions I've heard. It would be worth a listen from you. Gail L.
I can remember this (S&G) from the early to mid 70s? (AM radio... if the wind blew right!) and maybe some Gospel covers along the way. Top notch the way these guys done it! : ) Be Safe ... PS -- the memories it brings back, awesome!
Tim and Peter make such good music together! Both are fantastic vocalists with amazing range. I highly recommend their version of the Hobbit song Misty Mountains... oh yeah, they also did Sound of Silence too. Great reaction!
Tim & Peter sound terrific together! Apologies to Simon & Garfunkel and allll the other covers, but this is the best one I've heard. BTW, Austin has a new lyric video on his channel "When I Get Done Healing".
Simon and garfunkel were very popular in the 60s. My favorite song of theirs is the sound of silence. Still my favorite version of that song, although peter and tim do a great version. You should listen to the entire original version of bridge over troubled water. It's fantastic. Album version, not the live version. Thanks for checking out another duet by these guys. I recommend greensleeves next.
This is the fastest I’ve ever paused one of your videos to comment… 37 seconds in… This could’ve been me 🥹 This song was one of my mother’s all time favourites. My mother is also no longer with us. The first time I heard this version I sent it to my brother (after I wiped the tears away so I could see what I was typing) saying: wish mum was still here, she would have loved this. My brother wrote back that next time I come across something like this, could I please wait till after work hours to send it to him so he won’t have to explain to his colleagues why he is crying over lunch… 😊
❤
Thanks for the love, Peter. Big group of fans here!!! ❤️🥷🏻

My all time favorite version of this beautiful song.
Peter lives in Oregon. I would guess that's where they recorded it.
Love those duets with Tim
Absolutely beautiful. These two together are amazing together.
They are so good together. You definitely need to watch their cover of And So It Goes. Stunning.
2 angels singing on earth!! Tim and Peter!

Thank you for the fabulous suggestions!!!
Bridge Over Troubled Water is by Simon and Garfunkle and was released in 1970. Art Garfunkle sang the words and Paul Simon wrote the song.

Same!
The song was released in 1970. My sister had this album
Peter and Tim did a beautiful job on this song. Bridge Over Troubled Waters.

This is so very beautiful. You can't go wrong with Peter Hollens and Tim Foust together. Love your reactions!
Peter & Tim singing together is just pure magic. They released an entire album last year of all their duets together. ❤❤
Aaaaaand… now I’m crying again… missing my mum and feeling so grateful for how she founded my love for music and everything she did for me
Beautiful! ❤️🎶
Love a Peter-Tim duet! And this is one of the best and best-known of Simon & Garfunkel! (Happy happy to find this on a Monday!)
So beautiful!
Brilliant use of Consonance and Dissonance.

Peter and Tim have sung together for many years, even before Tim joined Home Free; so they really sound good together.
Thank you. I’ve loved this rendition for several years. My kids grew up on the Simon and Garfunkel one.
Hey J and J! I recommended highly, Greensleves, by peter and tim.
❤
I grew up listening to Simon and Garfunkel. My brother had one of their albums and listened to it a lot, plus my mother enjoyed some of their music.
I too plan to have this song at my funeral, but I'm not going anywhere soon. ❤😊😊❤
The second video Peter hints at is "Greensleeves," well worth a listen. 😃
❤❤❤
Your comment about the rain forest was right on, he's from Eugene Oregon. I live in NW Washington now, but am from southern Oregon.

Great reaction! Please more Dimash soon. The "Be With Me" music video.
Would you guys Please react to Home Free and Peter Hollins Amazing Grace. Thank you both for all you do.
Jeremy when did the Arizona Cardinals switch from Red to Purple 😂😂
😭
I might have preferred Peter over Adam Bastien 😢
Peter lives in oregan.
