I want your feedback! Was this video too long? Did you enjoy this pacing? Constructive criticism is welcomed because I want to learn how to make better content for you all ☺️
Great video! Love the documentary style and how respectful you are of the foods and culture and how you'll try just about anything. Your reactions and opinions seem very genuine too. I'm a foodie 😂 so I like the bts of them preparing the food and of you actually eating it, and maybe some more close up shots of the food would be nice. Keep up the great work though 🙌
Thank you! I'm working hard to make more content in new amd exciting places for those of you who are following along on my journey. I really appreciate your support!!
Thank you for commenting! Comments like this help keep me motivated to make more long form content. These adventures are only possible because of all of you, so I want to share them with you all when I can 😊
So I noticed in 1 day this vedeo only got around 3k views. Algorith be damned. Absolute banger. If videos like this only have 1 view, it;s me. These vidoes are so well editted and shot, it is honestly comvimcing me to travel to Vietnam.
Wow, thank you so much! Even though these long form videos don't get tons of views, I am very appreciative of how enthusiastic you guys are about them. I enjoy making this content, so I'm planning to continue to invest time making more videos and hopefully improving them every time!
That dog!!!!! It was soso adorable!!! And cool hear your thoughts on all the diff types of foods, I liked the range since there's so much to every nation's cuisine. There's way more beyond banh mi and beef pho
I loved Hoi An (as a Vietnamese American who’s only ever been back once)!! Da Nang was an absolute favorite city, and exploring was so much fun. Fun fact, I visited VN at the same time as you, and watched your vids as I was in the location of the video. I was also there when they lit it up with lanterns, so maybe I could’ve seen you!! The drink with the flower petal on top and the cơm gà was actually so good tho ❤
I had never had fresh jackfruit before this, and it blew my mind! So flavorful! And thanks! I spent a lot of time picking out the music so I'm glad you appreciate it 😊
some crazy timing... i was just in Hoi An like three and half weeks ago! Ate at Vee's Market too, had their fried red snapper and stuffed squid, both incredible.
in fact: as a vietnamese i must admit that i haven't try that much city-signature food like you yet 🥲 another smol fact: at 3:53 that chili is cooked so its not that spicy (also the smol chili is more spicy than that big one)
I encountered it so many times but it never seemed to be when I had my camera! It definitely took a bit of time for me to get used to, but I started to like it eventually 😅
As a Vietnamese i actually glad how unimpressed you are about the Vietnam pizza, bánh tráng nướng 😂. Even for local it's more of a fad rather than anything traditional. Bánh tráng nướng is much better just by itself.
CHICKEN RICEEEEEEEEEEEEEE AND CAO LAUUUUUU, HELLL YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH But personally, i prefer Banh Mi Ba Phuong, or Madam Phuong Banh Mi I remember when i was little when i tried the herbal tea, i felt weirded out by it But as i grow older and my taste buds changed, herbal tea Mot becomes such a delight
Hi Chef Tyler, I'm an aspiring sourdough maker (or at least trying to be), and I'm curious about where you source your sourdough for your grilled cheese in Vietnam. Your grilled cheese always looks incredible, and I’d love to know which bakeries or specific types of sourdough you prefer in Vietnam if you don't mind to share.
Never really thought you would actually see my comment. I'm a really big fan of you Tyler, and you know, it was actually kind of my dream for you to reply to my comment. You made my day and I hope that you have a good day too 😊
a HACPOA meeting was held at the first restaurant you were at in this video i literally saw you and didn't say anything for your safety. [ btw thar is a actual group called HACPOA now and its literally people that don't like you. and thar is like 200 members no joke]
The crispy squares on top of the cao lau is fried noodle not pork skin. They do the lanterns very night. there is never fish sauce on or in a Banh mi. Grilled rice oar was created for children outside the schools. yes just so so. Not Pho "BOW"? you say Pho Baw" is better Vietnamese. Thats green papaya not pickled onions, this is the central style. ok Banh mi. Hanoi is meat and cucumber, "cha Lua" - thats the pork cake and cha bam the pork floss. no pickled carrots and daikon mostly, southern style Ho Chi Minh has large cut pickled carrots and daikon with cilantro. some have pate and some don't depending on what you order. and Maggi sauce and mayo. Hoi an is smaller with less filling. finally shredded lightly picked with lime carrots and green papaya with MINT and a little cilantro, Hoi An chili sauce thats the jam style. tapered ends. light pate and light meat! not lots. the ones foreigners get in the down town area are over filled to try and capitalize on Bourdain's Banh mi he had a Phuong's Banh mi. these are NOT how locals eat them. its for clicks and social media to drive more business. Banh mi to a Vietnamese person is a snack not a meal. again the red chili sauce you have all over in Hoi An is their famous chili jam. fried won tons made for the tourists. the com ga is not "smaller chickens" its Ga Ta. walking free range chickens as they want their chicken chewy.enjoy.
You are overpaying for a lot I mean a lot of stuff seriously I didn’t think the local would do that and the pho bowl for that quality is insanely expensive
Tyler, I know this is long, but PLEASE READ THIS! There's a bottom line down below if you want to just read that. Congrats on getting 1 million Subs! On to 2 million! 😃 I want to say something. I don't know what you think about the afterlife, but I know that if we've lied, stolen, used God's name as a swear word, (eg. OMG), looked at someone with lust, we're going to go to hell. That breaks my heart, I don't want you to go to hell! God is paying us in death for our sins. He's giving us the death sentence! STAY WITH ME, PLEASE! 😊 But there IS a way to find everlasting life! Please listen! The 10 commandments are called the moral law. You and I broke the law. Jesus paid the fine! THAT'S what happened on that cross! If you're in court and you have speeding fines, a judge will legally let you go if someone paid your fine. God can legally take the death sentence off you! Because of what Jesus did on the cross! He rose from the dead and DEFEATED death! All you have to do to find everlasting life is repent of your sins, turn away from them, and say, "God, I am sorry for my sins!" And trust and put your faith in Jesus! Don't trust your goodness to save you, God PROMISES, and he CANNOT lie, He'll forgive you in an INSTANT and grant you everlasting life as a free gift! Not because YOU'RE good, but because HE'S good, kind, and merciful! 😃 Bottom line: Repent of your sins, and TRUST and put your FAITH in Jesus! 😁 If you have any questions, PLEASE let me know, and I will answer them! Love you, Tyler! 😃

Grilled cheese with finnish rye bread with a juicy chicken breast and swiss is to die for.

I commented for him to do that in multiple videos and he has not done it yet

I've got a drinking game idea. Drink a shot every time Tyler says "refreshing".
Or scroll through my shorts and take a shot whenever I say cheese
