My son had a friend that had Battens. They was in a classroom together. She passed away at age 8. Such a beautiful soulI. Your daughter was a gift , God bless..

I am eternally inspired Kennedy. You have changed the eyes of my heart. I am so so grateful for your life and your presence sista girl. I didn't know you here in this earth but I know in heaven some day I will get to see you and say hey you're Kennedy! Praise God for his mercy and goodness that reigns forever and ever. What a beautiful precious gift that God gave you and the inspiration and the resilience you're daughter had for the zest of life and the special bond and effects she had on people. My son Tyler also had Battens.....he died at the tender age of 8 years. I struggled, as I watched him slowly die...I was beside myself, I didn't know how to think or feel, 😭😭😭😭 I was so numb, from the inside out. Yes, I know where my son is at, he is with our Gradma and Grandpa and is enjoying his freedom from his ailing body, but that doesn't mean I don't miss him every single day, cuz I do. Tyler died on Sept 9 2001 just 3 day's before the bombing of the 2 world trade center's, not only the tragedy of our brothers and sisters, but ourr nation and my son passing away...I struggled to make scene, while grieving the loss of my son, it was a process believe me....it was not easy at all. I struggled with ( the Battens disease, and I wondered of how I was going to adjust to the new way of life, that I was forced to live. I find myself crying to this day still cuz I miss him dearly and deeply....with passion and sorrow. It brought tears to my eyes and I'm not one for showing emotions to much.... It also brought smiles to my face and she was a practical joker... Thanks again For sharing God Bless
I totally agree, I just got done watching the movie for the second time still leaving tears in my eyes. Her story is so beautiful and deserves more recognition. She brought so many smiles to many peoples faces and i cant wait till we can all see her again in heaven.
